QUOTE(nm7 @ Feb 6 2015, 02:54 PM)
The show already has a huge production budget. They won't be able to just afford any new or almost new car and not get told off by the top people in BBC.

Furthermore, most of the cars that are new that they include in the show are very likely to be borrowed from the automakers themselves.
*
true, but the cars are all insured right. plus, I can't imagine they torturing those cars until it became worse than the orange car (the Zenvo from Season 21)

good point. although, knowing the presenters, if something bad happen to the cars, they'll just lie and, using camera editing, produce believable evidence.

suddenly remembers James' Lambo during their Romanian trip. haha

QUOTE(kadajawi @ Feb 7 2015, 05:07 AM)
Do you remember car football? They wrecked like a dozen of new cars for that. As long as the cars they use are cheap enough...? On some cheap car challenges they wrecked cars that are quite expensive... the last one for example. Those classics shouldn't be too cheap, can buy a baseline Golf for that maybe? And if you go mildly second hand you can get a reasonably speced one.

They also in the last season or two wrecked a rental Toyota Corolla... I'm pretty sure they had to pay for the car.
*
I don't think they had to pay for the Corolla. Jeremy's reasons was pretty convincing. Haha

Explain what happen during the accident.
A MANIAC was coming the other way.

Who do you think is responsible for the accident?
HIM! HIM! He was MAD!

Are you sure? Which ambulance would you choose to send you to the hospital? I recommend the Nuclear Van. brows.gif

It was too funny. biggrin.gif I think the hearse should be best... fast and comfortable. biggrin.gif And his ejection method seems best. biggrin.gif
*
The only problem with the hearse is James May setting the GPS with his brilliant sense of direction. biggrin.gif Owh yes and the useless boot door. Haha.

The Peugeot clip was dreadful sad.gif Very pointless, not even particularly funny. sad.gif

Rest was good though.
*
First half was quite informative, second part like you said.

That vette is quite surprising, and it makes me wanna rewatch the two clips where Jeremy drove the C6.

I expected Ferrari to act like Mr Bellend like usual. But Mclaren? Come on!

F1 politics nonsense trickled down to pokey motor show.
*
Ferrari being themselves. They did refuse to lend Enzo in the past right.

My fav quote in S22 E06.

Hammond: And if you want to write to the BBC, and said "This is some rare type of tree, and has to be preserved" you can stick it up your arse!
*
It seems like the main motivation for Hammond was his hatred for the other two. I can see that hatred when he cleared that twig for his fire. Haha.
