I have like two weeks to a major public event so desperately need to 'shape' up On a limited budget whats the 'best' available option for supplements (leaning more towards ON and controlled labs) and my workout program consist of whatever time I can come by if I do have that time ...its almost always free weights lift to failure and jump rope since the haze came about for cardio. I must stress that I dont want to drop pounds but need to shape up (6'2" 230lbs) Much appreciate whatever useful advice is given.

QUOTE(~LynX~ @ Jul 7 2009, 03:01 AM) 2 weeks? 1 word: Liposuction. nah ....have fasted for more then a week.....lost a lot of weight and gained back a few months later. I dont really want to do that for obvious reasons. Without supps, my shoulders broadened out, 'ceps more defined for 5 days of heavy lifting. So, thats what got me wondering, what if I used supps (no juice please). This is the main reason I am asking here, got many experienced ppl here mah

QUOTE(iamyuanwu @ Jul 7 2009, 09:37 AM) Dude, supplements are just food, packed into powders or pills. They can't make you grow like crazy in 2 weeks. not looking to 'grow' I have been trawling BB forum so I need more 'local' data. My goal is more 'energy' to lift. My problem, muscles are burning (lactic acid) after a lift I feel I can go further, it just feels sad looking at the weight hanging by my side and not being able to lift it for another set. @JonYeap I am not a rock-star Definitely not going to post pix after watching a 50 something man posing by pumping up his chest and thumbing the back of his rib cage while shopping with his family, not long ago.

without the strength I cannot increase intensity......bottom line shape up. Should I take creatine to give me a slight edge or something else ? @YuanWu Please read third paragraph of the first post. edited for YuanWu's clarity This post has been edited by lot101: Jul 7 2009, 11:04 AM

QUOTE(angrydog @ Jul 7 2009, 11:13 AM) Quite frankly, someone as deluded as you should just invest in a male girdle/corset like this: It's ridiculous, but it's the closest you'll get to the non-existent magic solution you've stubbornly insisted on believing in. Seriously, two weeks? Geez. can I borrow yours Stubborn in what sense ? stubborn as in you repeating the same statement as in the other more helpful thread contributor. Dude, you really need to find something better to do with your spare time then resort to bullying, and your girdle really looks nice on you Take a chill pill or PM me I buy you a cup of tea when I am free To ask the simple question again . Would creatine give an edge when lifting ? As in delay the buildup of lactic acid in my muscles so I can lift longer. sigh....need to nap . thanks guys.

QUOTE(bata @ Jul 7 2009, 11:47 AM) LOL its 2 different things man. usually ppl use word "shape up" for cutting, but go into cutting cycle, you probably lose your strength level. by consuming creatine probably can increase your strenght and help you with few extra reps but dont expect to "shape up" lor since the water retention will make you big and soft Chow Well I am not used to the weight lifting convention of words. Thanks for the pointer. Read about the water retention issue with creat. Big /soft.....big soft toy ? Any sane advice on stacking methods (extreme with out the roids)? damn sleepy hmmm your nick reminds me how when I was young my mum had to drive me to Klang Bata factory to buy school shoes. Thanks for the advice.

QUOTE(John91 @ Jul 7 2009, 01:31 PM) Even steroids won't make you look great in 2 weeks. I don't see the point of using a stack if you're just gonna do this for 2 weeks. No major difference. Just eat right, you don't even need supplements. Creatine only if you insist on it. may make it a long term thing. or may just invest in a few pairs of running shoes. looking for a best fit method. thanks for the advice.

QUOTE(JonYeap @ Jul 7 2009, 02:09 PM) maybe u can try reducing ur water intake. this is to make ur body less water therefore it looks errr... i dunno how to say. i saw the youtube on ahmir khan body change in 1 year. he said something like that... reduce the water so that the muscle looks more dry... Added on July 7, 2009, 2:10 pmbut remind u... its not a good thing to do... extreme.....using diuretics thanks man but avoid at all cost. think I should just lift everyday and couple with my usual aerobic workout. take more slow digesting carbs etc etc....more quality then quantity type of guy. hmmm may change my mind later though

QUOTE(~LynX~ @ Jul 7 2009, 03:02 PM) You were fasting for religious reasons? As I understand it, fasting deprives your body of needed nutrients, do it long enough and your body will go into "starvation mode", which makes the body prioritise fat storage and decreases muscle hypertrophy. I'm also rather sceptical about your claims regarding your 'shoulders broadening out' and your 'triceps more defined' after just 5 days of lifting. Even BBers on juice would take some time to see any appreciable gains, let alone someone not on supplements. Got any before/after pics? fasting for other reasons. just take it I am one of those ppl who is constantly pushing the envelope on everything. yes I do the impact of such acts. done my research before moving forward. moving on......... sorry no visual evidence. I am an on and off lifter due to my work schedule. shoulders get droopy if I dun lift. biceps become one smooth contoured lump I am not 'big'. i have to confess its very difficult for me to make any gains. hence the on and off lifting yes tried everything to break the plateau. so just gave up and concentrated on lifting to failure on alt days if time allows it. other days would be reserved for running, cycling etc etc on the open road. @kotmj why you want angrydogs cup of tea ? ready to man up boy ? Thanks ppl found my solution else where. going to eat clean its either baked, boiled or steamed . @angrydog cup of tea is real @kotmj really tired of your talk. back up those words boy. PM me meet up in the ring (training purposes) I should be back in a month or two. seriously I am not big. I am very very small compared to darklight. @-Dan yeah I know that, all I was asking is that something to give me the extra edge so I can slap on another 10kg to my lift. but I am done here. thanks This post has been edited by lot101: Jul 7 2009, 05:03 PM

QUOTE(yeah_guyz @ Jul 7 2009, 05:07 PM) you are not worth to compare with darklight seriously, by looking at your post and the knowledge inside it, you are just skinny. you're just too stubborn and dont want to accept other opinion.. end of talk obvious where all the nutrients have gone to..read the post properly. @kotmj waiting. closing it myself, tiring.
