actually depend to u'r preference la...i do collect MPs and LC since i like BIG / more articulated / detail toys..yeah it's pricey..but i'm selective with those deluxe and voyager class tongue.gif
*
Yeah, but for the MP SS,i need to ask my parents to ship one to Malaysia then.

It's the same for me,i like them to have more details and articulated. Also doesnt topples easily.Design matters too.

I just want a selected few best ones like Voyager SS,Voyager Threadbolt,Breakaway and some G1 SS.

Wow,some of the new ones are nice.

I like the new decepticon tank and the Nighthawk like jet.

Anyway, will the older transformer's stock like Mudflap,Sideswipe,Breakaway be replenished any time in the future?

Guys,is it worth buying Blackout(Voyager) and Scoponok(Deluxe) now?

Do they have a good mold and articulations?

I saw a Blackout and Scoponok Set in a Sydney TRU.Cost about RM160-170 for both.

I will say yes.

Blackout is quite fun to fiddle with, but beware of the morpghing mechanic, as some spring is a bit wonky. This should be fixed by now.
*
Which one you think is better? Treadbolt or Blackout-Scoponok pack?

How about Scoponok? Is it fun to play with it?

HA Sideswipe really have a big back pack... Other than that, paint job is very good... Details are OK, headsculpt is excellent... Thinking of removing his back pack for a slim line bot mode... The huge back pack makes it back heavy, so posing is rather cumbersome...

To buy or not to buy? I say buy, good size... One and only drawback is the size of its back pack in bot mode... Quite a sore... Epps look like crap though...  tongue.gif

Thats why i dont want a HA Sideswipe.

Big back pack means that it just wont stand well on it's own and you cant pose much with it.

Hasbro needs to learn about statics.

Singapore is a whole new different story altogether.... Takashimaya / Tangs... Most of the departmental stores have ample stock... At the time when most of us were seacrhing high and low for optimus, there were plenty on the shelves over there... Prices after conversion may b slightly higher than the prices here.... But if there are discounts then worth buying.... Be adviced tho, if the customs wanna b nasty, they can impose a 30% tax upon toys.... I leanrt that the hard way... So to be safe, dun keep them MISB i suppose lol...
*
Strange,even SG is like that.

Till now,Leader OP and Megatron are still all over the shelf in Aus too.

Kinda surprised no one wants Soundwave,Demolisher and Ironhide.

I really dont see the reason of owning 2 same figure, even as a collector.Unless it has a different colour or quality.

These things arent cheap in the first place.2 LC OP could bring me a really good quality die cast model car.

Even if they are defective, bring it back to the store and look carefully for bad paint job and choose carefully before you buy.

i still can accept for those buying 2 units..i also buying 2 units for certain mold (eg: Red Alty, HA BB, MP02 etc)..why?coz i want to see them in 2 modes....alt and bot. But buying for more than 2 is insane..unless we a plan to sell later at higher price, perhaps  hmm.gif
*
I see.

one for play, and one for remain inside box? laugh.gif

btw, I buy one mold only for every figure that I like smile.gif

I rather have one for both play and display.

I only buy one mold per character.

breakaway . I do have 1 loose Hasbro version wanted to sell at 35.
Reason : i have the takara version
*
Where do you stay?

How is the condition of the Breakaway?

Still,is it worth going for a Takara Breakaway? Does it have better quality like paint job, better plastic or better joints?

I'm all for Bayformers but at least please let us have our money's worth and have our fan interest in the subjet matter worth our while. Otherwise, what's the point of collecting? Might as well watch the films and that's it? Like I usually do. However, with TF, they're called Transformers for a specific reason. Unlike other franchises, they do indeed transform, and in some cases, combine/power-up and what-have-you. That's the appeal to me as a collector.

And we're not kids here. Even kids are smarter than we were at their age nowadays. Produce stuff that do not look down on us, make fun of our intellectual minds, make it worth our effort...
*
Im fine with Bayformers, but the main issues are the quality and design.

Most of the car based transformer cant even stand properly.A little bump at the table, they topple straight away.Thats why i only want to collect aircraft based transformers, even though i love HA Sideswipe so much.My Blackout would probably still stand up during an earthquake.

Another major problem is the quality of the "toy".Some parts are too weak and tends to break easily or just bad paint job on them that requires some repainting.

Other than those 2 complains,im happy with what i have now.

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Aug 3 2009, 03:04 PM)
Getting toys to be too complicated will drive away the "average" children, which is HasTak main target demographic. Well at least they still produce a few toys for the "older" player. I personally would also want challenging transformers to play around with, but its gonna make the kids cry while transforming them.
*
The toys are too complicated for kids, even adults might take 1/2 an hour to transform a deluxe transformers.A typical kid would probably cry because he cant get it back to vehicle.

They should have make it with better quality to attract the adult collectors, rather than kids too.

Those complaining about Hasbro/TakaraTomy toys:

PLEASE REMEMBER:Hasbro/TakaraTomy's objective has (and will always be) to SELL TOYS aimed at CHILDREN. Sure they might include some stuff here and there for serious collectors, but you must always remember, they are making the main series for the children, hence their price.

For a better figure, you'll probably have to pay a lot more which means less parents buying the toys for their children.
*
Those things arent even a toy in the first place.

Difficult to transform. Fragile. Expensive.

It's not suitable for kids to play with like how we play our old Beast Wars or G1.
