to all the sifus, i am wondering is it possible for me to hook up a HT receiver amp with a ICE Sub in a seal box? I still have a DALI 10" sub in a sealbox plus a lightning audio integrated amp(use to dedicatedly power this sub in my car). Since i am no wonder in this field, will appreciate everyones "tunjuk ajar"

Check and see whether your Subs impedance matches your amp....but most of the time, home amp works from 6~8ohms.....car amp can go from 1~4 ohms depending on how expensive it is.
Usually, ppl. use 2 car subs connected together instead of 1 to get 8 ohms.
Actually, I've tried using home amp to power my car single 10inch car Kicker in a box.....it sounded like shit in the home environment. Unless you are getting two subs, 1 sub just wont do. And since it is running at 4 ohms....its gonna stress your home amp badly. Car subs dun push enough air to cover a room unless you get massive loads of it like those ahbeng cars

QUOTE(shuttersyok @ Jul 6 2009, 03:49 PM) is it possible to connect the car amp with the HT receiver? err...I still dunno what you mean....Is it connecting the HT receiver 'RCA out' to the car amp 'in' to power the sub? So are you using a step down transformer to power the car amp?....then I think its OK...but make sure your transformer can handle it But as I said, a car 10inch sub not much bass for room. I got a better idea.. put under the Sofa!!...now you can feel every step a T-rex is doing in Jurassic Park! Something like this (taken from HTGuide Forum) [attachmentid=1063883] Remember...this is not your primary Sub but act as a shaker only. Experiment first.
