I'm guessing it is the iOS4.1's problem, as some of my friends are on iOS4.0.2 are not facing these issues of batt draining, try reading up the Apple dev forum and there are complaints on the iOS4.1 draining the batt fast caused by it's fault with its multi-tasking.but not sure.
