I have no problem with the battery. I can last 5 days b4 it totaly drain off.

Why not You try 2 suggestion i give?

1) Backup all the contact etc manually (can find the method in pinned topic) and restore the phone. afterthat START the iphone as new phone (DO NOT restore from backup). and close all the push mail notice.

2)check the push mail notice and set all to manually and OFF

no i'm having the same problem as f.stop too. before upgrade, battery last 3-4 days. after upgrade, 2 days MAX. so i restore the phone, set push notification to manual, set APN value to other stuff, all GPRS and EDGE turned off, still draining 50% per day.

maybe i'll try Shock advice - to set up as new phone after restore. but that'll be next weekend.

one question tho...set up as new phone meaning i have to SSH the contacts into iphone manually?

just go to itunes, find the "sync contact"/

I not sure about you all, but i do think the upgrade OS did something to your phone.

I DO REALLY SUGGEST people with BATTERY problem, RESTORE THE PHONE AND START AS NEW IPHONE, INSTEAD RESTORE from backup. ( I have once before successfull JB due to some reason, my battey are draining like water, then i did start as new iphone, all goes right.)

As for me, unplugged at 7.20PM, at about 10.30PM the battery went into the red. About 15 hours plus.  Location services turned on most of the time, wifi, 3G turned on. Shot several videos, pictures. I never close my apps, all left running in background. What do you think?

1. 3G turned on but cellular data turned off, the 3G setting is good as turned off right?

For your extreme usage as you wrote, 15 hours for me to think is quite standard.

Anyway, when you turn on 3G, you are using 3G radio signal, which is totally different than normal GSM. Celular Data is only to control the internet. So conclusion, when 3G is on, you are using more power than GSM although is just for call and SMS, which appox half of the time in GSM radio signal

LOL. my record is 4 days with everything off and just normal 1 hour call person + some SMS.

For me, i do not turn on things i dun need to use. i will only turn it on when i need to use..

@slickz, HSPDA and GSM is 2 total different tech, of course it uses more watt/power to transmit and receive. i wondering how much power last for CDMA now lol if we ever getting 4G
