whoa...
what other choice do we have instead to send it to them while it still under warranty...
no luck with mine either, eventhough i've used recovery mode/reset/...
charging like 1% every 15-30mins
i'm gonna call them tomorrow, look if there's any luck...

Call them? No, go to any of their centres and submit your iPhone in for warranty claim. A reminder for you to restore your phone if it had been jailbroken otherwise the warranty will be null and void.

u mean just walk in to the maxis centre and just hand them the phone? anythin else to bring along? i.e. warranty card/receipt/etc.
thanks for the advice.

it would be better if you can bring the warranty card and if you are not the owner is much better bring along the right owner...

I know this is going out of topic, but have any of you fellows noticed that your home button on your phone is getting less sensitive? I have used mine for like.. 6 months and the button is starting to feel not as sensitive as it used to be. The second thing is that my it says no sim card and i would need to take out and put back my sim in my phone... weird..

@munky_head_7

If it is too difficult to bring the original owner, just make sure you have his/her details and contact no. That should also do as Maxis just wants to verify from him/her some information.

The Home Button thingy is what you call wear and tear. Yes, it does happen especially for those who press it every so often.

As for the Sim Card 'contact', it may be a hardware problem and perhaps you should use this as a reason to send your phone in for warranty claim. Who knows? You just might get a replacement and all your problems would be solved. rclxms.gif

yeah that home button issue also happened to my phone. sometimes its not sensitive sometimes its over sensitive, it detect like i push the home button twice instead of once.

yesterday i was tethering my internet from IPhone 3G using 3G to my laptop for half a day, until it sucked all the battery power dry. meaning that usb charging thru laptop is not enuf to cope with the 3G power needs.

Try this, sometime your sim might be a little dirty so try erase the dirt with rubber eraser. This also works on all card with that gold thingy like atm cards or credit cards.

Take out and put back sim in iphone is a pain in the ass la basically. Next time it happens, try turn on the airplane mode and turn it off again after a few seconds.

Cheers!

thanks for the help regarding my iphone.

@peell
might do the trade in for warranty bro, but i am using the old bootrom version of the 3gs. Sad lah, if they one on one replace, mati lah if i get a new 3gs with a new bootrom sad.gif

@sanosizo
Well bro, right now after putting it back in again, it seems to have rectifed the issue. I dont know if my phone was having its period or something lol.

Well since i got my device around the end of august, I will be sending it for warranty around that time as well. Hopefully by that time , the jailbreaking comunity will have a jailbreak that will work flawlessly with the new bootrom, fingers crossed.
And for the record, i use my phone too much lol tongue.gif, games, facebook, etc smile.gif

Dude, 3gs or 3g or 2g?

yeah i am heavy gamer, like right now i am playing plants vs zombies like mad, and yes the bat dies extremely fast as well. I am using a 3gs by the way on 3.1.2 jb. Best what you can do is put of push notifications, 3G and e-mail pushing. Should help alot, but other then that, we all have the same issues.

You will probably get a refurbished unit which means it could well be with the old bootrom.

download those 'battery level' apps and they will tell you how long can you play games, watch videos etc with a full charged battery. i think 4 hours for games is quite normal. if u are a heavy gamer then i recommend u get a psp instead.
