Guys, i need recommendation urgently. Might be buying a phone this afternoon.

My main criteria:
1) Best cameraphone in class, autofocus, xenonflash, 5Mpixel and above.
2) Wifi is very desirable.
3) No Nokias!

Budget: RM1200 to RM1500 ( i want ori phone, don't want AP).

I'm currently eyeing the SE C905, but one dude(From SONY ericsson booth on Groundfloor) at Digital Mall yesterday said that phone got some issues, makes me pening, and cannot decide. Anyone can feedback will be much appreciated.

Other than this model, what are the other phones that is similar? I like Samsung too, the shapes very sexy, but i'm not sure about the camera quality.

N82 seems quite nice, but where to get ORI phone at THAT price?? Sure or not?

Nokia 5800XM!!

Initially, i was looking for a phone with good camera + xenon,good video(at least VGA) wifi, and gps. Initially targeted SE C905 and N82...but find C905 has poor low res video capturing and not many users around. N82 seems perfect, but after checking out my friend's handset....it looks really FUGLY... ....

Then i also wanna try for a touchphone because i need a GPS soon and it's much easier with a bigger screen. 5800XM satisfied all criteria except Xenon Flash...oh, well, for this price, it's really is unbeatable.

My finalized requirement:
WIFI
TouchScreen
Large LCD
GPS
Good Camera with branded Lens
Web browsing

Budget < RM1500 (the less the better!!!)

What do you guys think? Perfect match?

I can live without the Xenon flash i guess...better carry a dedicated compact camera around for serious shooting.

Woohoo, just bought the 5800 yeserday. Typing this now from the phone now. Via wifi access at home. The,wifi s not easy to setup though,mon fact still foguring out what works and what doesnt. Wpa and secondy ssid seems to gives a lot of problem. Haven't test video yet. Still too busy with the wifi. Later.

5800. Owned for 1 week. Extremely satisfied. Best bang for buck phone and way cheaper than Samsung.

5800 Pros:
- Cheaper than Samsung by what..RM600? (Ori machine)
- 5800 is smartphone, runs Symbian OS. Samsung Jet is NOT a smartphone, still using propriatery O/S, no apps.
- 5800 can runs Garmin(free, no need to pay)...i drove to Seremban makan-makan with the GPS yesterday. Jet cannot runs Garmin (maybe Google Maps, which needs to pay).
- Superb web browsing experience.
- Beautiful LCD screen.(But samsung's one is nice too)


Basically, if you can tell me another touchscreen phone with WIFI, GPS, Symbian O/S for RM 1050 for original machine, i'll buy another one!

Be careful...just because it CAN doesn't mean it's pratical. Even my previous phone Nokia 6120 can do that...but the speed is so slow and screen so small, it's impratical. In short, yes, specificationally, it works. Functionally, NO.

You must get big touch screen device for web surfing to be pratical...and DECENT SPEED.

So far, Nokia 5800 do this fine..only RM1K for original set.

Nokia 5800...everything under the sun for RM1K.

Nokia XM5800 only RM1K or so for ORIGINAL SET.

It is the best bang for buck in the market now, with EVERYTHING.
