I don't think they will have any problem. Born to be stepped i think? Cause the mother always step on the babies. smile.gif
Sure, but do not use cedar shaving. It's poisonous to small animal in general.

Dog foods and cat foods are staple food for hedgehog in captive. However, do not choose low quality food lar.. haha...

welcome to the group!..  thumbup.gif

No and no.

Wood chips could could cause mites to be on your hedgehog.

And because dog food is really big for hedgehog so better use cat food. And i heard that the nutrition content is different
*
on wood chips i sot of heard bout it but not very sure.....dog food, its almost similar in size with cat food... nutition of cuz there is some diff but i read that it prefer chicken flavor so i dun think cat food actually has it rite? I'm sorry cause i might be wrong cause i've not really come through with cat food cause i dun own hedgehog or cat before but dog food yes!!! 5 dogs at home!! lolx... cheers! icon_rolleyes.gif

if I want to choose a hedgehog in future, I will pick up one, put on my hand and look for the one which take shorter time to open from the his ball mode. Or the one which easily allow you to pick him or her up.

great advice there!!! will try it out tmr!!

Thanks. Yeah, peeking is bad. I did peek just now while I was feeding Chubster mealworms though.

She didn't seem stressed out about getting mealworms at all.  laugh.gif

I got a picture, though a very blurry one through the storage box.
There's THREE, not two. biggrin.gif

Imma be sitting in front of the computer all day so I can resist the temptation to look.

and make sure provide some the food and water during night time..
my hedgies keep sleeping during daytime..  blink.gif
some jogging from midnight till early morning..  sweat.gif
i only wake it up for bath time only every weekend.. else just let it sleep in their hideout..  tongue.gif  laugh.gif

D'awww! What a cutie you have there! biggrin.gif
You keep him in the room with you?
I keep my male hedgie in the kitchen while my female one in the storeroom downstairs, so I never hear anything.

Have you made sure that your cage is escape-proof?
You don't want to find a load of poo & pee everywhere in the morning. smile.gif

Try using fleece/cloth instead of wood shavings. It's more suitable for hedgies, especially male ones.
When my male hedgie gets horny after he wakes up, bits of wood shavings would stick to his icky bits & when he retracts it, that must really hurt.  blush.gif
*
Hahahaha....
Thx!!!
Yup its with me in my room so that i could meet its temperature requirement as outside of my room is like super hot it the day time!!!
And yup its escape proof!!
I'll replace it with paper or cloth once this shavings are dirty as I've prepare this the night before he is back...
Hope he enjoy in his new house!!

I just wonder what is wrong with my little guy there.
He poop everywhere even in his food bowl.
Then he will cover the food and drinks bowl with shavings...
What is wrong with him man!!!
Btw how do we know is our hedgehog drinks for those who provide water bowl instead of bottle?
