*
hi..

I just got mine as well...

I got a way to pick it up without upsetting him(learned it from my ex-hamster)...

when it get into its sleeping box..take the whole box(with him inside sleeping) and pour him slowly into your hand...remember to give him treats every time you hold him..

;D

this way works for me...only like 2 days, Astro has bonded with me.. smile.gif

*

Really ar?? Nice2, gonna try it out thenĀ  rclxms.gif but what happen if he's wakes up arr and then running around the floor...how to catch it back??? hehhe
Currently i've have some guts to scoop him with my palm but then it keep running away when i start lift him up... doh.gif
*
when I want to take my hoglet directly, I always put my fingers in front of him, for him to smell it first(learned from ex-hamster and ex-dog), don't just simply grab him from above, I think that is mimicking a bird snatching its prey...after it smell2...slowly take him, after I lift him up I usually give him 2-3 treats..so to associate him that my hands provide delicious and rare foods..biggrin.gif

I think the core way to bond with your hoglet are frequent handling and to be nice to him, which is giving him treats. mine never hiss anymore...hiss only on first day... smile.gif

You can either choose silent spinner or wobust... i don think you got other options. Unless u import the wheel yourself, but it gonna cost you a big bomb.
*
some said that silent spinner is very dangerous for hedgehog...is that true?.. sad.gif

Not only that, there are opening at the bottom of the silent spinner, previous owners got bad encounters as well with it.

The leg got stuck at the opening, some are bad cases. cry.gif

Better afford the best u can for ur dearest Hedgie..

If u still opt for silent wheel, then u have to put some weight at the stand to make sure it will not be easily toppled.

Cheers
Kelvin

holy smoke!!...

budget really2 tight right now...I can afford wodent wheel, but I'll be like starving for a week.. sad.gif

Comfort wheel is very very very noisy... T-T
