I went back to check on them. I stayed a distance away from the cage, just listening for squeaks because I know peeking is the most important thing that every hedgehog breeder told me NOT to do.

Then I heard it. Little squeaking sound. <3
At least 1 should be alive. Not quite sure about the one that I saw Chubster step on a few times...

-------------------------

I just fed her a few mealworms & YES!

TWO BABY HEDGEHOGS! ALIVE!  rclxm9.gif

No and no.

Wood chips could could cause mites to be on your hedgehog.

And because dog food is really big for hedgehog so better use cat food. And i heard that the nutrition content is different

hmm.gif hmm.gif

im using wood chips...
no mites... brows.gif coz every weekend i give them bath... icon_rolleyes.gif

if I want to choose a hedgehog in future, I will pick up one, put on my hand and look for the one which take shorter time to open from the his ball mode. Or the one which easily allow you to pick him or her up.
*
yeah.. more tame more easy to handle.. and more adorable... wink.gif smile.gif

The design is actually not recommended for hedgehogs (because of the steel bar) since hedgies might hit themselves when getting off the wheel.

A silent spinner or bucket wheel is still the better choice.
*
hmmmn.. maybe if they close the inner side.. the outer side no need use that steel bar... that will be great.. rclxms.gif

while running, once a while hedgie will stop to see its surrounding. This type of wheel can hurt hedgie's head and cause its eye to be blind. Dont use it for hedgehog.
*
i dont know.. i didnt use it... just found while surfing... tongue.gif
yes the steel bar suppose not to be there.. or the wheel stand must got big gap between steel bar.. doh.gif

Hoglet Update:
Babies are coming along nicely.
I have one friendly male & female and one very huffy male.
He refuses to uncurl and when he does, he huffs & jumps in my hand.  vmad.gif
He's going to be one difficult hog, just like his father.  mad.gif
*

Hi everyone, I got my new hedgie just last week, she will always curl up when try to pick her up from her cage but once I put her in my hand, she probably knows me and starts walking around to explore from my hand to my laps. Is there anyway to not make her scared and curl up everytime I reach my fingers bear her? Or does this take some time for her to get accustomed to. Thank you! Will post some pics if her soon~

how old is she bro.. icon_rolleyes.gif
