Youths come together on this day to enjoy our special 240-minutes of futsal-gathering made specially for Malaysian youths ages 15-35 at one of Malaysia's most popular courts! And guess what? Each participant will only need to pay RM 2 to participate!

There's a little catch to this though. Each team that participates MUST be of multi-races. The teams MUST have at least 1 Chinese, 1 Malay and 1 Indian. Why you may ask? Of course to discourage polarization.

Don't have a team or lacking of team members? Not to worry as you could recruit team members on the spot. We would like to encourage youths to make new friends.

Think you're not good enough in futsal? Well, we're here just to have FUN, so we don't care if you are good in playing or not, as long as we ALL can have fun!

Since we could only accommodate 20 teams (consisting of 5 team members each), it will be on a first-come-first-served basis. The first 100 people to confirm their names on Malaysian Youth Network @ Facebook will be ensured of a spot. So do hurry before the spots are taken up!

Each team will only need to pay a subsidised fee of RM 10 (RM 2 per person). The rest of it will be paid by the host because I want it to be affordable to everyone and most important of it all, we want to have ultimate FUN!

So please do hurry and get your spots on Malaysian Youth Network @ Facebook before it's too late. I will be in touch with everybody again on the modes of payment.

Do spread the words on this event to your friends by inviting them this event notification and help us to make this event a success!

For details, please refer to our Events page at MYN Futsal @ Sports Planet Subang Grand. See you there!

UPDATE - 26 July 2009

Dear all,

The starting time has been postponed to 8pm to cater for Muslim Maghrib prayers. I hope this would encourage more participation from Malays as we are lacking them.

Thank you.

Maybe you should post this under the Football thread - there's a weekly futsal session there which is as multiracial as you can get. Btw - what do you mean by "youth"?

miketee,

Thank you for your suggestion, but I am not sure if this event is allowed to be posted under Football section, but I will definitely make this thread known there smile.gif Youths as defined by Wikipedia is the period between childhood and adulthood, but we consider anyone between the ages of 18-35 as youths.

Hi asepa,

Thank you for your interest. Yes, this event is one of a kind I should say biggrin.gif
If you don't have a team, not to worry as you still can participate and look for a team there. I have an Indian without a team, and I am without a team as well. Another Malay is without a team too. So, that does not make you alone smile.gif

Have you registered for the event?

asepa,

Thank you for registering smile.gif I have received your reservation for 3 spots. You can pay the RM 6 on-the-spot. You could message Jey on Facebook and see if he is interested to be in your team. There are a lot of Chinese in event without teams, so do message them and ask. If not, I will place a few in your team during the event.

Hope to see you and your enthusiastic friends there!

Cheers.

Dear LYNers,

We're actually lacking Indians participating in this FUN event. So to make it a more balanced event, we urge more Indians to show some interest. Remember, Malaysian Youth Network (MYN) is doing this JUST as a social futsal event for unity. There is no hidden agenda but just to have more friends. So, do consider participating as the fees is ONLY RM 2 per person. It's a deal hard to miss!

Cheers,

Dear all,

Event has been updated. Now we will be catering for anyone between the ages of 15 - 35! This change is in-line with our vision of opening doors for more youthful adults regardless of age, gender and race, as well as in response to several feedback I have been receiving since the launch of this event.

So, do take full advantage of this event to be a youth again, and treat this as an opportunity to enlarge your circle of friends! Do check us out at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=99121376854 and together we shall make this event a successful one for youths.

To make it easier for all, here are the details:-

Date: 1 August 2009 (Saturday)
Time: 7pm - 11pm
Venue: Sports Planet Subang Grand
Fees: RM 2 per person

Hope to see more energetic youths there!

Cheers,

Dear all,

This event has so far attracted 32 participants through our continuous publicity, but we are still short of the 100 participants target to make this an unforgettable event for YOU.

The event is planned specially for youths, so it would be a little disappointing if we can't even gather 100 futsal enthusiasts among youths.

As the fee is only RM 2 per participant, we hope that MORE would join us for a day of fun and excitement of playing with 99 other youths!

Do check out the details at http://www.facebook.com/events.php?flyingspaghettimonster=sb#...eid=99121376854. It's open for all youths ages 15-35. Make full use of your youthfulness!

Cheers,
Jordy

Thank you for the recommendation Yukito. Well yeah, I simply don't know the contacts of any student associations. You know we have this problem of information overload and I simply can't go through everyone of them. So a recommendation would be good for me smile.gif

Anyway, I will be sending an email to MUSA to see if they are interested in sending some participants. I do hope it's not too late though.

P.S. Have you signed up yet? tongue.gif

Cheers.
