That was actually Armor Cancel Ultra. Or Ex-Cancel Ultra. Or Ex Kara Cancel.
What he did was simply executed a Ex-Dash Punch (Any variety) which has Super Armor property, absorbed the hit and quickly canceled it into Ultra before the Ex-Dash Punch comes out. Quite easy to execute in training room but very hard in real life match. You might absorb the hit of a quick recovery move eg. light punch and canceled into Ultra. Opponent can block and then punish. The execution input for the Ex-Cancel should be something like this. At least this is how I do it. Back, Front, Back + PP/KK, Front +PPP/KKK. Go try and have fun! |

Thank you for the wishes Desimund CHONG, K2K! Sigh, the big 30. Don't worry Desimund. Your time will come soon enough. Ngiak ngiak ngiak.
It's called Charge Buffering, the Back, Foward, Back +P/K. Can be done since Super SF2 Turbo days (or even way back). And yeah, I left that one out. The beauty of the Ex-Cancel is, it does not use up any Ex bar is canceled into Ultra or Super (Yes cancelable to Super as well). And only consumes one block of Ex bar if canceled into Ex-Headbutt or another Ex-Dash Punch. If canceled into another Ex-Dash Punch, you'll have a Ex-Dash Punch with 2 times Armor. If canceled into a Ex-Headbutt, you'll see a Ex-Headbutt with Super Armor. Try youtube it. It's been around for quite some time. And if you play with me offline, you'll catch me being stupid enough to attempt it at times. Added on September 19, 2009, 1:10 ammikeeeee and gang. All the best tomorrow in Bugis. Make us proud! That one is Dash Ultra/Super. Timing is hard. I can only do 1 out of 10 attempts. Sometimes can not at all. Lol.
The speed of executing the inputs is as the same as you would do an Ultra. Same speed. You simply add in an extra FRONT in executing the Ultra for Dash Ultra. But timing is strict as I mentioned. The input for Dash Ultra would be: Back(charge), Foward, Forward, Back, Forward + PPP/KKK. And the same goes for Ex-Cancel Ultra, you just add in the extra PPP/KKK in between your Ultra inputs if you notice. The input for Ex-Cancel Ultra would be: Back(charge), Forward, Back + PP/KK, Forward + PPP/KKK. (Note: Although it does not consume the Ex bar, you would still need a bar to pull it off) Added on September 19, 2009, 1:20 amWah! I feel like a Guru suddenly. Finally I can contribute something technical to the forum! LOL! This post has been edited by hatred___: Sep 19 2009, 01:20 AM |

Dont' think it's really that possible. 10 extra characters? The character roster's gonna be messy as hell. Somewhat like KOF or CVS2. Too many characters! Lol.
Dee Jay and T.Hawk, yes, chances are there. Rumors are that their model are already done. Ibuki and Makoto maybe, but not Dudley. Don't think Capcom will put another Boxer in the game making it repetitive although they play differently. Adon, another Muay Thai fighter, not likely. Although he plays differently compared to Sagat. Cody and Guy from Final Fight are not likely as well. I'd rather they put Rolento or Hugo in if they really wanna put Final Fight characters in. Putting too many characters from so many different games will only mess them up as all the characters fight differently in their own respective games. If you put them into SFIV game, their capability will be compromised. Eg. Juggling Capability, Agility and all. I'm sure Capcom don't wanna turn SFIV: Dash into another Capcom Fighting Jam which was a flop. The trend I see with SFIV character selection is that Capcom tends to stick with characters from SF ZERO series and SSF2T (Super Turbo). This is my 2 cents lah. Could be wrong |
