Kara is cancelling a move into another move early, normally to gain some sort of advantage.

For instance, the infamous one as outlined earlier is Ken's kara throw, which is used to add distance.

Another one done to go FURTHER AWAY from the opponent is Makoto (Third Strike). She has a combo involving her SA2 which can do 100% stun damage if she uses a move (HK I think) to move backwards so that her dp+MP attack can hit at the right distance.

Another example is CvS2. Not done to move forward or backwards, there's something called Roll Cancel where you do a roll and then cancel to another move so that the second move you did gained about 16 frames or so of invincibility that the roll normally gives you.

I'm sure there are other examples, but these ones come to mind immediately.

The Raging Demon super comes out faster than the Ultra version, that's why you can seemingly lock them down sometimes with it rather than the Ultra.

While using Abel, I can "roti canai" throw him while his Ultra is coming
*
That's because Abel is immune to throws while the move is starting.

DUDE!

How much are you paying for your account and does it have any limits associated with it?

And how's the performance for playing SF4 (or other games online)?

Well, gotta roll with it if you happen to stumble on mirror matches in tourneys and such. Imagine when your at the grand-finals and it was a mirror match that you hate. You can't be playing bad just because you hate that match up biggrin.gif

While I don't actually like playing it, I personally am quite fine with the Rog/Rog matchup in tourneys. smile.gif

EDIT: Worst mirror match that I've experienced so far I think is Fuerte/Fuerte.

Well, the way I see it, mirror matches aren't really about knowing the character. Rather, it becomes a wholly unique matchup.

It's not so much who knows the character better, but who knows how to fight their own character better that wins (assuming everything goes well in terms of execution and stuff).

Nice story Phyurix. I'm the type that likes to switch around characters in games. I'd do that in arcades, but that doesn't sound like me since I wouldn't spend more than like 2 ringgit a go. tongue.gif

Not as of 2 months ago.

However, if a new one came by, then it might be worth checking out.

Ken is awesome. fMK is beautiful.

I'm thinking of dropping Rog for a command character. I've always preferred them anyways. But still no mood to play.

I just like Ken's fMK.

Believe me, if Ryu had that, I'd have picked Ryu ages ago.

Hit him as he hits you? He has horrid health.

Don't jump. He has SRK, super, ultra, jump back HP, etc to take care of it.

I prefer the new casing.

Mainly because it really makes the buttons and balltop stand out, cause they're the only dark things there.

There should be a PC benchmark test available look it up.

If you play on Steam, you have to sign in on Steam before you play the game I believe. However, in game, you will use GFWL to play with other players.

Jab combo wouldn't work with turbo on because if you cancel a move into itself, then you cannot cancel that move into a special attack anymore.

The MadCatz SE is the Standard Edition and TE is the Tournament Edition.

The SE is the cheper stick, the TE is the high end stick, in simplest of terms.

^ For Abel's 3 hit qcf + P combo, you can block the first hit, and just FA the second to punish him. Timing's a little strict, but you can get the hang of it after a while.

You can block of course. But you have to guess whether you need to block high or low for the second and third hits. If you insist on blocking, get used to blocking high first, then low (as the high attack version of the moves come faster than the low attack version).

Better option is just FA the second hit and kill the Abel back with a combo. If Abel doesn't continue to attack, you can always cancel the FA to a backdash.
