Same here. Also took the U80V but with the P7450 n 320Gb today. Juz now connect the lappy to my home wifi and eveyrthing slooowwweeeedddd down. I shutdown the u80v and downloaded the latest wifi driver from intel website, installed it and that worked to get things back to normal. Darn.. too many cheap/low quality free gifts. The only 2 which I used immediately was the keyboard sillicon cover and the carry bag.

NO idea what is the right procedure, but i have juz charged to 100% and now using it unplugged. hmm.. even with download and installing stuff from dvd.. this u80v can still last 4 hours +. Quite acceptable.

Well, The one they provided is so big that it covered the speaker grill and part of the touchpad. So I'm gonna cut it down to size. But it's nicer to type without it though .



Pretty Happy NFS Shift is playable at HD resolution without crashing/hang.

Which screen protector are you using? any recommendations for u80v 14"? I saw a raytec for RM49, a no brand china PET for RM18 to rm29, but still don't know which to get.

Was also scouting for Skins. Been quite interested wif the VEGE one's. sometimes have offer for RM25, and probably will get one when I stumble upon a design I like.

yay! ATI mobility drivers without the need for mobility modder. I am currently using this 10.3 and works well so far. Tested on NFS Shift and Dragon Ago, SF IV. Asus support page drivers are dated Sept 2009.
