I'm eagerly waiting for the K50AB and K50IJ Any idea on how much they would be priced?

If they're at the Rm4k+/- range, I'd consider getting that and handing down my Z53s to my mother XD

the HD4570 is alot better. if you would work alot on photoshop and graphic intense applications, go for the 4570. "Mobility" is for graphic cards that are on laptops and notebooks.

I think there's a F81SE that has the P8700 processor currently on sale now. So go get it before the promotion is over.

what did you do to make your laptop hang? i've had my z53s for 2 years now and i still lurve it i even go to bed with it

ah could it be that they're making way for the K51AB? Hmm i dont see why U80v design + hd4860 at RM4k is impossible. K50's only about RM2.2K rite? Lets say the hd4570 is worth RM200, take tat out you have the K50 at RM2k. Then add a hd4860 would, well maybe cost RM1k? Now RM3k's the price. Another RM1k to do the styling and maybe give it a better processor. Beautiful hahaha.

well which part of msia are you at? If you have accessibility to KL, then head over to the Asus Service Centre at Imbi Plaza. You dont need your warranty card or receipt whatsoever. They'll clarify the warranty from the product ID found at the bottom of your laptop.

What do you mean by autoshutdown when too much activity? Like when you run too many programs or when your CPU load is very high? Then it might be that your system's not cooling itself well, causing it to overheat and shutdown to prevent damages. There shouldnt be a case of insufficient power for laptops are there? o_O

Hope that it's only the speakers that they'll change, and not the whole casing. Coz i lost all my stickers when i sent my lappy there to fix the shattered corners. Sister dropped it on the floor =_= Oh btw, my fix was free

Geez guess i might just settle for a U80v. How's its cooling? Any uncomfortable spots at the typing and palm rest area? Why cant they have one with same specs but bigger screen =_=

can someone post a gpuz reading of the hd4570 in the u80v? or are there benchmarks of the graphic card by users? the reviews i can find on the net gives me different results. some around 2k, some 4k (3dmark06)

why before 11th of september? O_O need it to plan another 911 incident ar lol. U80V with the C2D P8700's at RM3799 if i've not mistaken. Comes with Vista Home Premium, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, ATI HD4570 Mobility. Webcam and other misc are basics.

I'm not trying to demote asus here but if you're gonna get a laptop now at tat price range, i suggest the DELL Studio 15's that is on promotion. RM3399 with all the specs almost indentical to the U80V except the processor, which is a P8600. And the HD4570 sports GDDR3 compared to the DDR2 HD4570 available in the U80v. However DELL only gives 1yr of warranty while ASUS gives 2yrs. Finally, no freebies and laptop bag

ok back to the topic. from wat i've seen, cheapest studio 15 (with the P8600, 320GB [all models i see at lowyat retails only have it with 320GB, not 500GB as stated in the DELL website], 4GB ram, the HD4570 and the rest of the basic stuffs) is from AllIT, RM3099, and they give you a Dell Laptop carrybag, not bagpack, but no desginer cover, meaning the normal black/blue/green etc.

i know i've strayed alot from what should be discussed in a Asus thread but anyone knows if Dell's still selling the XPS M1530?

nonono it's not that i wanted to get the XPS M1530. a friend of mine got it 2 weeks ago for RM2799. He said it bought it online but I dont see it anywhere when i checked yesterday. I was curious of the specs as i was thinkin he might have gotten a better deal with the Studio 15. So anyone knows of the RM2799 XPS M1530 specs? Or if it is discontinued or something? He said he got RM700 rebate for that lappie.

lol well i myself am using the Z53s with the 8600m gs. It's been 2 yrs and nothing's wrong.... yet but my core clock was downclocked to 500mhz and my memory at 400mhz. 3dmark06's score was real bad but somehow it still handles games pretty well. hope the downclock was a measure to prevent the gc from dying like what used to happen to 8600s T_T

just did a clean install of windows 7 on my z53s. now p4g hybrid gives me this message 'Consider replacing your battery. There is a problem with your battery so your computer might shutdown suddenly.'

i've noticed tat my battery's capacity greatly diminished. last time it used to be able to last 1.5hrs of anime on battery saving. but 15mins of anime just now brought the battery to 50% already. anyone knows where i can get new batteries?

Basically i think its a service to replace your battery cells instead of having you get a totally new battery. Should I do that or buy a new battery? I wonder if i can switch to 9 cell battery or something. Weird how i can only get 1.5hrs max from my laptop while the new u80vs can get bout 5hrs. oh how technology had advanced in the last 2 yrs
