depends alot on how u use and take care of stuff also. But overall, I can say its less problematic and last longer. This is my opinion, you can ask others as well.

if its metal finishing, dunit skin, else still need. Sharp objects will certainly scratch your shiny surface...

i dun use keyboard protector, i got lid protector, LCD protector, wrist protector so basically can prevent scratches lerr

yea, when I playing extreme game during hot afternoon which my room temperature is around 30C the lappy still consider ok, but the ventilation area is like super hot
