i try on my exSXPS 16 open 3 firefox lagging while in power saver ... Battery life about 2 hours in power saver , 1.--1.5hours in high performance ~.~''' if ATI 4670 become 0.5-1 hour in high perdormance ^^ |

don't know how much a 9 cell battery would cost. the current battery only can last for 2-3 hours only for normal usage..

for warranty,normal asus notebooks all comes with 2 year international warranty and mostly for netbooks, only 1 year
 i guess it's user issue  ...<--runs laptop on battery mode and programs does not even lag  |

I think most Asus notebook comes with their own Power Gear application (for changing the performance and battery mode :3 )
