in your employment contract it shoud say wat is the termination conditions.

if notis period is 1 mth, then u request to pay 1 monht in lieu and resign immed.

or nego for waiver/leave offset. i doubt a letter is going to do that. talk wif ur boss also.

my contract period is 18 month.. i already serve 15 month and still got 3 more month.
i need to write letter to HR Department and ask for either pay the balance 3 month or nego if they can waive
the contract.. because without letter they will ask me to pay for the whole 18 month..

Thanks for the positive input bro.. appreciate it..

3months just hang on lah otherwise ask the new company to help release you loh...
no letter will help, this will require heart to heart talk with ur boss. after u go buy him lunch or giftlah

your contract period is 18 months doesn't necessarily mean that you must serve all 18 months, go into your offer letter and see what it says.

e.g. i have a friend who is on a 2-year contract with his firm, but on a 1-month notice period for resignation.
