Hi everyone.
Thought of sharing my experience yesterday when I went to TNB to change name from old owner to new owner. The TNB branch I went to is at UTC (Puduraya) as there is also an LHDN branch there.
1. Bring photocopy S&P, photocopy IC, and at least one electric bill/statement
2. Fill up form
3. Pay money at counter (This includes the RM10 stamp).
It appears that I do not need to go to LHDN to buy the stamp. Everything is done at the counter.
Plus points for UTC: opens until late (9pm or 10pm)
Minus points: infamous puduraya jam
Additional info: After checking the account, the TNB staff told me that the premises is using "commercial tariff" because it was previously registered to a company. If you purchase your property from a company (even though it is a residential property), you can ask them this question and this can save you from paying extra for electricity.
Hope this helps.
