We're turning prospects into duds, maybe that's why the whole youth setup is getting revamped. Then again signing young players from outside doesn't exactly help the cause of the local boys as well. Strange time to be in the youth team me thinks.

Well according Guillem Balague, Alonso and Rafa won't be exchanging Christmas cards no more as their relationship has broken down. As much as i blame Rafa for stupidly trying to ship him out last season, i have to agree that Alonso should publicly come out and state his intention once and for all. If he want's to leave, file a transfer request.

The Kop is the famous stand. Those who are sitting in the stand or are hardcore supporters called themselves Kopites. Liverpool FC supporters are NOT Scousers. The term Scouser is specifically a term used to describe the locals of Liverpool area.


WTF? Alonso is adamant he wants to go and have told that to Rafa but still don't want to put in a transfer request. If my info is correct, when a request is submitted, the player's share in the transfer fee will be reduced or will be cut out from the deal totally. Well, at the end of the day, it's still all about the $$$.

My 2 cents with the whole Alonso media show - "money talks, bull shit walks." Alonso can go if he chooses so as NO BODY is bigger than the club. Period.

It's sad to see the situation between him and the gaffer deteriorate to such and extend, Again made no mistake about it, Rafa did lit the fire to the problem. But now, Alonso isn't exactly pouring water to stop the fire, more like adding fuel to the fire. I believe Rafa has every right to demand that kind of money for the player-of-the-year winner. If Alonso really wanna seek greener pastures back home in Spain, he better be prepared to put in the paper work to request a transfer. Since, he is set on leaving, forget about the extra $$$ he can earn through the transfer fee. He is gonna earn more in RM anyway. Then again, for all you know, the evil that is his agents, might want to grab his share in the fee, hence he is stopping short of handing in the request. Football is not all about passion anymore, it's a freaking business. Oh btw, did i mention Alonso is an economics graduate?

Last night, Babel played well up front. I see him finally stepping up to the plate this season, provided he don't drift off half-way down the season again. Voronin, worked hard and had some great link-up plays, maybe he could still feature and help our cause this coming season.

Anyway, let's pray that Aquilani will leave his "sick note" tag in Rome and come over to Anfield with a clean bill of health. No doubt about his abilities, just a tad worried if he could settle in a less fashionable and rather wet English city.
