QUOTE(PcWork @ Jun 29 2009, 10:17 PM) hi i intended to install Astro. my room don't have space for a TV, and i have one extra LCD, samsung. 15" how can i watch TV on an LCD? any cheap LCD comes with Svideo / RCA input??? most of the LCD have S-video and RCA input, but take note that some older model of samsung LCD TV doesn't have the S-video, so keep your eye on the spec, take a look at the rear of the LCD TV. astro you can connect to S-video input PS2 connect composite input at the LCD TV, the one with red, white and yellow colour.

dell got 1 model that have component input. and that's all. what u can do is find a vga box. look for vga box that supports composite and component input so that u can use composite with your astro and component with your ps2.

That monitor costs RM2,488, 2408WPF IIRC.. might as well get a Full HD 32" LCD TV. And a good VGA box that accepts S-Video/Composite signal could easily cost RM1k, but it does more than accepting those signals.

QUOTE(Invince_Z @ Jun 30 2009, 08:59 AM) any recommendation on the vga/tv box? For gaming you can't go wrong with the Micomsoft's linedoubler/upscaler. For Astro (or anything else) it's best recommended using something more professional like Edge/Faroudja/Optoma deinterlacer/upscaler. If you are tight on budget then HD Box Pro, or something using the same chip, may be your choice but it only accepts component input. And finally if it's for Astro/PS2 and nothing else you may hunt down a Hori's PS2 VGA box (can't remember the exact name, but it's from Hori, and it's not so easy to find anymore). If you want to compromise on quality drastically, try everything else. This post has been edited by gundamalpha: Jun 30 2009, 09:09 AM
