I still prefer this one , The Innocent. Classic horror movie in black and white. the old stuff and mansion really creepy . i can imagine those days when candle is the source of light and if u see something moving in the dark , u better get back to your bed and don't walk around at night.

I will give " The Stranger" thumbs up when u start to watch after midnight.
The best scene is when u don't know who is outside of the house suddely thumping on the door.

Another movie quite close to this is "Them"

Judgement night also one of the best thriller movie to watch at night.

Than my very best one is The Vacancy. This one really scare the shit out of me thinking whats gonna happen to me if i knew death is coming so early. When the couple saw the video in the tv where their room was a trap... " What shall we do now"....beautiful crafted out to scare the shit out of u when u know u r going to die soon.

When horror is concern also , Coen Brothers also good in creating suspense scene like No Country For Old Men...." hold your breath " when u heard nothing...

for me horror movies like Ruin and Descent is also great. The Cave maybe weak but worth to be mentioned too.
My most horror adventure goes back in the 80s when i first watch Predator in the cinema and never before i watch such an Alien could hunt down human commandos. Than came The Sixth Sense which gives everyone the jump in the cinema.

Horror movies are now even interwined with slasher movies. Good slasher movies that horrify audience are saw, the cell, hostel, vacancy, ruins, eden lake, the house on the left, the funny game, the turista , perfect getaway , the joyride, breakdown, seven etc

"Uninvited" also great. a surprise ending that gives u a goosebump .
