Hi there..

Need help for those who expert in repairing the Samsung SlimFit model.

My samsung Slimfit WS-32Z40HN going to dead for several months.

Details for the tv may click here
http://www.samsung.com/me/products/tv/slim.../ws_32z40hn.asp

I sent it to shop that under Samsung. They said the component called flyback is damaged. Need to ordered it to replace. They also said all the component inside imported from korea. Wah.

I wait till many months then no news about the component. They said it really hard to get it. So that i take the tv back then bring it to friend of mine tv repair shops.

He tried to modified but fail. It is not fail like make the tv not function, but the screen look weird. U can see picture below. There are bend at the right n left screen.

I tried to fix it by entered the Service Mode that can setting the deflection. But it still doesnt work.

My friend told me that he used flyback from samsung 29" then install into my tv. Maybe that's the problem. Incompatibility happen. I'm juz assume.

Picture below is the damaged original flyback for reference.

My Question:

1. Regarding to this topic, I need someone or shops that can suggest the suitable flyback that will work perfectly with my tv. No bending anymore. Maybe can suggest shop, price, and others bring me to fix the tv.

2. Is it valueable to sell it? So that i think to sell it than keep it. Anyone can offer me.

Tq for the helps...

Look like pincushion problem to me. Pincushion problem always bent by the side. If it's flyback, most probably no pictute or arching.

Second possibility could by the deflection yoke, the yoke controls the vertical and horizontal of the tv. If it kapuk, it will affectthe v-h section of the tv. All kind of weird angle.

kevinc66 are right.

for me.. , maybe ... hrm for my experience this is not flyback problem maybe, but it will have a same problem with flyback too.

if this model also CRT i think it will be yoke coil problem(it hold with the picture tube).

and i tell you all , they said need to order this flyback from korea? haha most of them are made in china ever philip's lg, samsung .
and i get it from local ,it's look like china product also. don't trust 100% of any machanic . try ask another repairing shop.

You cannot just subtitutes with 29" flyback trans. It wouldn't work. You have to get the same part number to replace it. If you friend keep on modify it with diffrent flyback, end of the day it will damage more components in your tv.

Did you contact Samsung Malaysia direct for the part? How old is your TV? If Samsung said the part has been discon., than to get the part is almost impossible.

You also might want to check with Pasar Road shop.

Hope this helps

Shop under Samsung? I guess it is just a authorized dealer for samsung..I think better u call Samsung helpline directly and ask them send technician over your house.. Most shop simply wont help u to order a spare part which need to be back to back order..

well, they are same if they just a normal repair shop, what ever authorize or not. just see your luck and their skill. spare part are same and already there. the difference is price.

your tv problem have high % to fix back, try next shop . and don't spend too much, because modify a china full set board just $180++
(if not yoke coil problem) this is just my suggestion. it's depend on your self.

second if they send your tv back to factory, prepare to spend more cause all spare part are original. and they would not modify anything under their own company product, what they care? their brand, and sell new one to you lolz.

The other option is for you to go to eBay and order the part and get it shipped

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=flyback+s...yback&_osacat=0

Key in the right model number , search and order it

LOL flyback transformer is very less in market now because CRT is getting obsolete smile.gif But hey, depends on ur luck, u may try searching in spare part shops. I hope ure truly confirm its the flyback which is spoiled. If flyback spoiled, there wont be picture or it will be like firecrackers on the screen. If flyback spoiled, the transistor will burn too. Just an additional info for u smile.gif Dont waste money buy something if u don't know that's the one spoiled. OH another thing, samsung sucks when it comes to TV.
