How do we know whether PennyAuction involves in self-bidding or not?
Imagine if an auction never ends...PennyAuction will earn a lot from an item... |

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Jun 29 2009, 09:11 PM) That's the magic. they will ensure we won't know. Seriously, it can be done... I'm in IT line. such "AI" not hard to develop. Just continious monitor the auction intervals and calculate whether its time to "activate" a drone aka robot to auto-bid or not. Frustrated real bidder might continue to play along. And in the last minute when the minimum-value-that-ensure-they-profit is met, the system will just play nice and let the "lucky" user make final bid and win. lets say the autobid bot will automatically bid at 0.03 seconds before the auction ends.. it should be fun..hahaha... But then, ppl wouldn't complain if they win the auction... the price is so cheap in the expense of those who lost the auction... |

QUOTE(myvocalist @ Apr 28 2010, 06:32 PM) Yes...I totally agree. Penny uses BOTS.....can I call it "cheating"? Very suspecious indeed....is it possible to view the source code for the website? The latest fraud is this 100 Bids item bearing item # 5111. I placed an autobid at 5.20pm but suddenly the bidding closed at 5:21:11pm by this "jeelijeeli" at only 1 bid. How can it be possible? I think 'jeelijeeli' is a Bot....always there to 'kacau'...then closed. I also sent in an sms before it closed, same thing....about 2 minutes after it closed I get sms saying the item closed.... Come on...I also noticed many BOTS are surfacing lately, agree with me? I boycott...will tell my frens...not to bid anymore....[COLOR=blue] I wanna know how their "auto bid" script works.... |

Shall we report to the polis to investigate on this matter....
I hope someone take action against them to force them to reveal the source code to make sure there is no cheating bot involves in the bidding process... This is serious.... |
