QUOTE(fentanyl @ Aug 11 2009, 11:27 PM) It was the first movie to use DTS. The first movie to use Dolby was Star Wars. QUOTE(robinlim @ Aug 11 2009, 11:48 PM) I think Bourne US boxset never goes down to USD50+ before Nope, never go below $60. But I'll wait, year-end also don't mind.now standing high at USD72 maybe have to wait till year-end sale then only got chance to have good deal QUOTE(arremie @ Aug 12 2009, 02:21 AM) Get Bourne Trilogy from UK la GBP32.98 only about USD55. Cheaper shipping and faster arrival some more. Who cares about the magnet I don't care about the magnet, never even knew it has that. I like the design of the US box better, that's all. I can wait, nothing urgent. Someday it will come down to $50, Amazon can do that and they've done it many times with other titles. |

QUOTE(arremie @ Aug 12 2009, 05:33 PM) Bro, it will only be released on Nov 10th in US, hence the delay. That's why it's called pre-order.But I agree, just get from Amazon UK, cheaper and everything the same as the US version except without digital copy (the third disc). |

Been lucky so far, all my BDs from Amazon UK were sealed.
By the way, Lone*Wolf has a new trilogy added to his collection. |

QUOTE(megatron007 @ Aug 14 2009, 07:45 AM) tis district sembilan sedap? saw the preview macam B class movie wor I don't know. When I found out the director, Neil Blomkamp was going to direct HALO, I was curious and googled his name. Watched 2 short movies and some commercials he directed. Really fell in love with the short movies, one is Tempbot and the other is Alive in Joburg which this new movie is based on. Here's Alive in Joburg:anyway JOEs still rockx n bombompow I actually likes Tempbot more, really touching about a new robot assigned to work at some office, reflects a lot about what happens when we, humans, are starting to work at a new company. Both short movies has some echos to the aparthied history in South Africa. This post has been edited by aiman04: Aug 14 2009, 07:55 AM |

QUOTE(fadthil @ Aug 14 2009, 02:43 PM) Yes, Amazon will deduct the VAT. But for items sold by Amazon's preferred mearchant the VAT wasn't included in the price, so no deductions. This post has been edited by aiman04: Aug 14 2009, 02:53 PM |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Aug 15 2009, 08:55 AM) watched district 9 on thu. for me this movie so so only. To be honest I'm not looking for boom boom pow in this movie. I hope it will have good plot, good storytelling, intelligent and meaningful. 1st half, like cloverfield, handheld camera movie here and there. 2nd half, war....nice lfe. boom boom pow too. ending, touching. so up to you guys whether worth it or not Managed to avoid the show yesterday, my dark side friends already went down to buy the tickets, but luckily the show time didn't fit our schedule. I hope I can ignore the whole theatrical run so I can watch it on BD for the first time. I managed to skip Watchmen, Star Trek, Terminator Salvation, etc. Don't know if can skip UP or not, Aiman will be begging me to take him to the cinema. |

QUOTE(ar188 @ Aug 15 2009, 09:32 AM) Yup. There's a big billboard of UP just around the corner of my house, he sees that everyday and asks about it each time since 2 months ago. Just strange that it takes almost 3 months after USA for this movie to release here. Nowadays most movies opens either on the same day or earlier than USA. |

QUOTE(fentanyl @ Aug 15 2009, 09:39 AM) Maybe both. Added on August 15, 2009, 9:48 am QUOTE(ar188 @ Aug 15 2009, 09:43 AM) Anyway, even though he's much closer to his mom, me and Aiman really have same interest for movies. Can you believe it, when he was 3 years old, we watched October Sky and he stayed awake staring at the TV until the end, never bothered to get up and play with his toys. I can never forget that. AVATAR, been waiting for it since late 1990s, read a few pages of the spec script already. My own avatar is from this movie. First feature movie from James Cameron in 12 years. Can't wait.
Planet Earth is now only $40.49 at Amazon US. Band of Brothers is now only £21.72 (VAT deducted) at Amazon UK. This is the lowest price I've ever seen for both titles at Amazon. This post has been edited by aiman04: Aug 15 2009, 11:34 AM |

QUOTE(robinlim @ Aug 15 2009, 11:55 AM) Added on August 15, 2009, 11:58 am I think it's mostly because the local distributor wants to fit it into the school holiday session for kids this is not the first time they do that If they open 28th of May it will be just nice for school holiday, so that theory is not applicable at all. Added on August 15, 2009, 12:17 pm QUOTE(arremie @ Aug 15 2009, 12:14 PM) This one is acceptable. Not to gross like Black Hawk Down At the current GBP rate you can get it now for less than RM150 including shipping. I got my BoB for RM160 and only in one day My Monster Inc only 6 days This post has been edited by aiman04: Aug 15 2009, 12:17 PM |
