when you buy genuine kaspersky you'll get a Serial/Activation Code. Not Key file.
Key file is an activated serial code. People don't buy key file...(I wouldn't)

You want key file? Buy kaspersky, then visit.. activation.kaspersky.com apply your activation code there. not for 2010

I bought a key file b4. But for corporate use and not consumer use.

Too bad the key file works for kaspersky workstation, not their home use software.

I think will soon on workstation 7.0

i also have key file.. and its original ok..
as i remember we can get serial key from key file..

this is how i use key file to install KAV 2010..

1. install KAV 2009
2. after finish. active KAV 2009 using key file..
3. then i install KAV 2010. KAV 2010 will tell u that u have key file from old version and CAN USE in KAV 2010
4. update ur KAV 2010

the problem is when u want renew ur license using key file..
my license have 88days more..
if i cant get key file converter then i need uninstall.. install kav 2009 back.. and put key file.. adeh~~

oh... but i heard my bro say for 3 or 5 user can't upgrade key file like that. It will prompt out say you have enter wrong key file or activation code that i heard from my bro..

as i read at migration policy KAV&KIV 2009 can convert to KAV&KIS 2010 with old key as long as not expired

for consumer product.... KIS/KAV 2009 or 2010... it always come with activation code ONLY (direct from the box)
there is no way any user can buy a key file directly from any legal/authorized means.

example of the activation code:
xxxxx - xxxxx - xxxxx - xxxxx

if you only got the key file, chances are the key is an hacked key and if detected by Kaspersky servers, your key will immediately be blacklisted.

the key file is only applicable for enterprise version of kaspersky.

as i know .key file is a licence generate when 'seller' buy bundle..
like 1 key for 5 user..
so 'seller' make .key file so buyer not use key..
