U have to let loose the cacings, check ur heatsink contact (remove, reapply, reassemble). Most prob omething went wrong when u did ur cable management. Is ur rig just been newly assembled lately? As far as i observed, temps usually go lower after certain time, i dunno why maybe the paste fused full between contacts or something, but thats just my guess. Be a little hardworking and re do it, cables and heatsink, no need strip bold n do all over again.

CCFL really doesn't effect much.

@hermit23:
cry.gif I dowan to let those cacing go, very messy.  Maybe I'll try to check the contact of HSF. Any other suggestion? cry.gif
My this rig ar, erm, bought last December. I only use about a month then I go to Miri and then my sisters use. Since now sem break, so I do some cable management and add a little bling bling to kill my time lor  icon_rolleyes.gif

i meant let them loose 1st, a bit of work required but its necessary. It could be the cables are routed where it inflicted pressure to certain part of ur heatsink, thus less contact etc. Once u checked fully then work on the again. When u disassemble the do slowly and to check if it affects any part of ur mobo/heatsink, dont put too much pressure to stretch ur cable etc. Cable management done once most of the time not really affective, i did mine like 2-3 times everytime got new hardware or a change of something in it. laugh.gif

cry.gif Huhu pretty much work there, nvm, a lot of time to kill  drool.gif
erm, may I know what's the normal temperature range for both AMD n Intel?
*
Ya, cable management takes a lot of effort n time to get a good one . . . since u have time, do it . . . i dunno bout u but i actually enjoy doing it, though sometime i feel like kicking it. thumbup.gif

normal temp varies greatly between procs for both amd n intel, depending on voltage, overclocking, hsf and many others. Try getting info from the overclocking thread for amd's and air cooling thread. More users which can share wit u.

New ATCS 840 user here . . . changed from a CM690. Finally i decided to change cuz WC wit 360 radiator on top plus GTX"s sli is just too much for a mid tower, hahaha. But i serioulsy nvr expect 840 to be so HUGE . . . comparatively wit my CM690.

ATCS 840 is the most heritage designed casing ever!
still the sexiest is Cosmos S biggrin.gif

Totally agree . . . initially i went looking for Cosmos S. Wanted the normal version which is cheaper then i can mod side panel etc. BUt shop got no stock . . . only 840 available . . . kena poison this* that* there* ended up goin back with it. Hahahaha, my will not strong enough, easy poisoned. laugh.gif

My case right now is completely taken apart for paint work..and awaiting parts for new components like new cpu, cpu cooler , mobo, vid, ram - basically complete overhaul lol. But yeah I plan to use the 230mm stock fans - kinda hard to find non stock ones that fit this case. I know CM sells a blue led 230mm fan specifically for the Storm Sniper, that might fit, not sure. Also the Scythe Kama Bay I linked earlier, comes with blue led 120mm fan that shows through the mesh - and you can swap out a different led fan if you are so inclined.
*
Sanjuro, need to ask some q's . . . u take ur pc apart urself? Where do u get the flat head rivets? i can only find normal rivets so far . . . cuz of that im reluctant to tear apart my 840 n spray parts of em.

I didn't derivet - used plain old fashioned painters tape after removing everything that can be removed (screws, plastics, fans etc)
Look at my pic in http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1102953 pg 5. Riveting is still the best way to do it but for less trouble taping is easier.
*
Owh okay, i misunderstood . . . thought u took it apart n spray. Cuz im thinking of removing parts, sand em, prime and only spray. If its in case form very hard to do all those, too small spaces etc. Hmm, ill try find the rivets at hardware store, hopefully can find. Now my mobo tray done spraying, but without primer . . . sure its gonna chip easily . . . hahahaha, just like my CM690.

sort of . . . except in a much much cheaper way to achieve satisfaction for some. I just got itchy hands n too much useless ideas. Now must go find wood plank . . . hehehe. laugh.gif

@loongking

U got a limited edition casing, wat is there to envy about . . . its us that envy u. cry.gif

Ur GPU temps are very nice . . . hopefully mine would run cooler compared to using CM690 . . . GTX260 at 55C+ idle 78C max. I really should have got a modular psu . . . hiding cables is not easy at all in ATCS, too many . . . big holes. Hahaha.

Hey peeps. I just recently got a CM690. I was wondering where can you find the fan to fit behind the mobo? I got a 80mm fan, but it doesnt fit. Too thick.

Any chances ppl selling a thinner 80mm fan in lyn?

try forumer ngbh . . . he has them cheap.

Finally ive done my case . . . i definitely need a modular PSU . . . Corsair whistling.gif . Anyways hiding cables gives me headache, freakin 3 days for disassembly of hardware, watercooling (took most of the time), reassembly, cables and finally starting it, hahaha.

hermit23,
nice watercooling setup o,haha,anyway if u wanna change PSU I have a suggestion, Xigmatek, not bad though.
*
Thx, it is kinda messy wit the HUGE pump, hahaha. I did consider Xigmatek but i dont really like cuz the cables r not black . . . n corsair cables some are flat, easy to route. thumbup.gif

@yuktsi14

THe pump is really silent, its like CM's regular 120cm fan . . . hardly can hear any sound. Its pressure . . . i would say good enough for a single block. laugh.gif

@chong82

@lichyetan

thx . . . ya its an asetek pump, had to mod a little to fit a 1/2 tubing though, hahaha.
