ryzan,

how u manage to get black background? how u do bro?
anyway, any1 here going to mu tour at bj stadium on this weekend? how u bring your camera in?
*
im not sure how bro ryzan did it...but for me..i always shoot in manual mode with flash manually configured...tried to set the flash power weaker so that it doesnt lit up the surrounding..and set the shutter faster than it shd be so that only the subject is bright...if u stil can see very faint background..u can always mask it off or increase ur constast/level during ur PP... biggrin.gif

guys.. just wanna ask.. anybody have a netbook here?? can a netbook handles photoshop and image editting/processing well??
*
windows itself is slow enough(not process efficient)...if the user stil dont use it carefully...i.e let some rubbish/spywares blablalba running at the background...don say photoshop..even surfing LYN would b a pain in the azz

wowww...very nice pic u got there achew..love to bokeh effect..silky smooth
only own 50mm 1.7 for now..wish can get 1.4 soon..how much u bought the lens?
*
bought it in singapore..so its definately more exp than what u can get there tongue.gif

anyway...1.7 is good enough for bokeh.....it just depend on how u 'setup' ur shots wink.gif

1k+?

can teach me how to setup my 50mm.. biggrin.gif
*
i got it at 510(with filter)..so its around 1.2k if u follow the exchange rate now... smile.gif

well..the rule of thumb to make ur shot bokeh-er is always(assuming u r using prime lens) go near to ur subject as close as possible...and make ur light source as far as possible... biggrin.gif

depend on which brand u prefer...

i got myself a manfrotto 190xprob + 486 ballhead roughly about that price...

it looks really really sturdy..all the joints..parts r perfectly fit to each other..which making me confortable with putting any gear on it without a slightest worry..

downsides are its pretty heavy(to me)...weight around 1.9~2kg with ballhead attatched..it couldnt goes down to low angle if u need to macro something on the ground(but its not a prob for me as i had gorrilapod)...and lastly..i think the brand name itself cost a little...

the filter...
sorry guys...

imo..filter doesnt need to be too good(i don even use it usually)..unless for exp lenses...i'd use it for protection purposes...
