Why a Mac?
From the unboxing to the first time the plastic wrapping seal is broken.

Your hands caressing affectionately its fully aluminum body, feeling the texture while admiring the build quality at the same time.
At one point, I was just gazing at it and mumble to myself, "This is it!", perfection in action, downright to the first time you tap on the On button.
With that single On button, one way or another, everyone of us are connected regardless of our religion, colour, creed, nationality, political standings or even personal background.
One for all and all for one, the welcome page that connects us all.

There is no other way to replace the Mac experience but to make that journey yourself.
From the countless times I've been to the Apple stores to check the products out, the endless wait for a truly perfect one, and the accessories you planned to pair with your Mac, it is not just about buying over the counter but its the Mac experience that counts.

My Mac and I have made a pilgrimage of sorts and I'm a convert!

To the saying of,
"Once you go Mac you never go back."
I definitely haven't look back, ever since my first iPod Video U2 Special Edition.
user posted image

and to the saying of Appleism,
Jobs is my god,
Apple is my religion,
and Apple Stores are my temple and shrines.

If there's a chance, Jobs god willing, the Mecca pilgrimage of sorts MacWorld, would definitely be on my bucket list.

on a sidenote, i do think that a new shuffle would be a good addition to what I have now biggrin.gif

Why do i want to switch to a Mac?

To be honest, i once think Macs are just plain old PC's with expensive stuffs going on. But exposure by exposure to Apple lineup of Macs change my view of it. Even the simplicity just pulled me in!

Like other's say..

Once you're in Mac territory, you'll never go back to regular PC's again. So i hope i too have the same reaction one day~

Oh yeah, Macs does everything that Pc can and BETTER! biggrin.gif

Why I want a Mac?
Well because I think it'll revolutionize the way I do things? Well i've only got a few Apple products that've entered my life...
When I first got my iPod video, well it was sister's but she didn't like it due to iTunes, I was like wow, now I'll be able to watch movies on the go biggrin.gif that sounded really cool, until I realised I needed a converter and the whole process became too tedious... Hey come to think of it what it really brought into my life was podcasts. Being a big fan of documentaries, I can't doubt how podcasts have kept me entertained, and up to date:)
In fact the similiar thing happened to me when I got my iPhone 3G from maxis. I thought, yay! Finally entertainment on the go! And yea it didn't turn out that way... In fact it remains in my pocket most of the time when I'm out... But what it has really done is given me Internet everywhere. browsing websites on the iPhone is a whole new experience, I'm sure most of you can understand me:) in fact I'm typing this on my iPhone, and yea I love the auto-correct. Haha
The last Apple thing I have with me is my wireless mighty mouse. I bought it on the sole point that it was white and shiny. And till today I think the RM269 I paid in full is worth the fact that it's just white and shiny. I have a logitech mouse that can do things better than my mighty mouse but it's not white and shiny. Damn I like white and shiny:)
Ok I think I've deviated from the main point a bit too long. Maybe a Mac won't recolutionize the way I do things. For all I know it could be just as good as my Acer laptop. But I know that Whatever it is, there has to be something in a Mac that will please me:) and on that note I'll get me a MBP one day, one day;)

The reason I switched to Mac was the reassurance that I could install Boot Camp and Windows XP to play games easily. Being able to use familiar software such as Microsoft Office and Mozilla Firefox also encouraged me to switch.

I think the final thing that made me switch was drooling over my friend's new Macbook at a mamak. Everything about it just seemed to ooze perfection; from the hardware design, to the slick interface. Spaces and expose also intrigued me, as it seemed easier to set out work into sections.
And the icing on the cake was the fact that everything works: Wifi is a simple drop down menu, plug in a printer and hit print, installing just by dragging icons. Using Mac for the first time I couldn't help but think "This is what a computer should be like, anyone can use this".

(must be about Macs only or Apple products in general?)

When talks about Apple Mac machines, most of us will have the first thought, "It has a sleek and innovative design, yet an expensive computing device". It was my first thought too, but not until when I got a chance to expose myself to Mac products few years back.

Mac is nothing like others, it brings us full of surprises, excitements and innovatives to spice up our daily life. It has been an innovative leader in the industry that changes our lifestyle, whether you like it or not.

I can't imagine how my life could be without Mac, especially my iPhone and MacBook. With iPhone, I can always entertain myself on the go with musics, movies, games or even Internet. With MacBook, I don't even have to worry about viruses, worms or even spywares like I used to be. Now, I'm totally worry-free of those whenever I use my MacBook!

I'm loving Mac more than anything else... like everybody does !

Why I wish to switch to a Mac?

Mac has always been giving people an elegant and classy feel. Simply using a Mac makes a person look more esteemed in the eye of general public. People usually give a 'woah, you're a Mac user?' look when they get to know that someone is using a Mac.

But as for me, the reason for switching to a Mac is much more beyond that.

From the outside, every generation of Mac uses state of art enclosure technology of the time, that not only look gorgeous, but also of incredibly solid build. It feels stronger, more durable, and carefully designed. It looks more exquisite and polished than any other PC equivalents.

From the inside, Mac has never failed to be equipped with the latest and best combination of computer hardware. It has always impressed me with its leading use of the most advanced hardware technologies, with deliberate concern in the best cost-benefit ratio that utilizes every cent of the user to its max.

Other than the hardware, the software in a Mac is also one of the most convincing reasons that makes me wanting to switch to a Mac so badly. The operating system used in a Mac is dubbed as 'the most advanced operating system' in its marketing endeavor, but more than true in its reality. The operating system is carefully designed from every perspective. From the future advancement perspective, the OS has shown its clear and deliberately smooth transition from a generation to another generation of technology. It minimizes the impacts of the changes and other hiccups to the user.

Because Mac and its OS are produced by the same company, the OS is built specifically for Mac to bring out the best of its hardware. The user does not need to spend precious time setting up the device with the right drivers and configurations to make it work. Mac OS is intuitively designed for seamless user interaction. The graphical user interface and its user interaction model rarely, if not never, gets into the way the user works on things. Another of its natural competitive advantage over a Windows PC is that a Mac has native immunity to PC viruses. All these make the Mac user be able to focus on being productive.

All in all, Mac is carefully crafted from inside out, from hardware to software, from design to engineering. To me, every aspect of a Mac is well thought out, and the engineers and designers of the Mac pay attention to even the slightest details. I feel my money will be much more well spent on a Mac than a PC. Therefore I have been looking forward to switch to a Mac when I know about all these convincing yet true reasons on switching.

Why i'd rather use a Mac than any other commonly used operating system

1) Super fast boot

Now, i'm not talking about super modded PC's or anything like that. Just a normal unit against a Mac. Compare it for yourself, and then you'll see what i mean. A Mac system boots up in like a few seconds, whereas a different OS (Windows) takes nearly a year to boot.

2) Simplicity

Mac's are hassle free, and even the most hardcore Windows fans can't deny this well known fact. I mean, there basically is just one short power cable, and two separate USB cables obviously for the mouse and the awesomely neat keyboard. On a normal PC unit, well, nothing has to be said....

3) Easier to troubleshoot

Macs, are super easy to troubleshoot. I mean, you have Activity Monitor, Console, and Disk Utility. What else would you want? Of course, and good computer user would be able to troubleshoot his computer on Windows XP etc, but would an average user be able to do so like in the case of Macs? I doubt so.

4) Fresh look

Macs just look awesome. They look so fresh, and neat.

Well, here's one last say; Get a life, get a Mac.

I am using a Mac because:
Logging in is pronto, iPhoto is uno, its features are certainly full of gusto and not mellow; my mood goes aglow, Mac is supremo! It plays music like a maestro, my own mobile radio, entertainer on – the – go, video or audio presented like a pro, colors of the rainbow, great graphics for show! My Mac follows me from Toronto to Kuala Lumpur; it’s my amigo, partner and companion, that I know!

Why Mac?
~Simple yet user-friendly, stable and doesn't crash like the Windows "beep" do, virus-free means I don't hv to waste my time reformatting my com every now and then. Long battery hours which spares me from bringing the charger/adaptor with me whenever I go out. The "i" that does everything: iPhoto, iTunes, iMovies, iChat, iWork bla bla bla. Fast logging in and logging out time. The touch pad that's so useful and the "expose" and "dashboard" feature that blows the contenders away. Mac Messenger a little cacat though xD

Why iPod touch/Video
~Ex-owner of the iPod Video, the click wheel is very sensitive and easy for browsing and searching for songs, large capacity that enables me to stuff all songs iTunes into the iPod Video without the needs of selecting only certain songs to be transferred. When the iPod touch hits the market, the touch-screen feature alone had me purchased it without having 2nd thought(impulse buying), the iPod touch is an all-in one gadget, Wi-Fi, Email, Safari, Messenger, Video player, nice pictures viewing horizontally or vertically, zooming in or out with fingers, Calculator you named it, everything you need is inside this petite player. I seriously doubt that there're other MP3 player that can do as many thing as this one did.

One-word: I'm a die-hard fan of Apple xD Not only me, my siblings as well, lol. Apple Roxs..

Why I choose Mac?

1. Simplicity of the OS. nuff said.
2. Long battery operating hours makes me more mobile than before.
3. Mac has awesome fast boot compared to "Windows"
4. Designed for people who are minimalist.
5. Availability of the Apple Care Protection Plan makes me feel more safe after purchasing Apple products.
6. "Its mac, why must there be a comparison?"

I was a "Window" user for almost 11 years... until I've tried Macintosh a year ago. It took my breath away because of the userfriendliness OS captured my attention on buying a macbook. Regardless to what people (non mac owners) say Mac is difficult, bla bla... but after owning the product, i will give you something beyond what is imagined.

Apple's products is simply in a class of its own.

Brilliantly designed to cater to the current lifestyle of fast-paced, fashion-conscious, stress implicated & on-the-go society.

A Mac's simplicity, sleek design, hassle free & elegant user interface; all that without sacrificing performance, are everything that is needed in a computer. What else are required?

Ipod - Time is gold, remember; wouldn't want it to go wasted. Thus, with ipod, all those idle hours on travelling & waiting would be utilised efficiently. With the capability to play music, listen to podcast, playing games, net surfin, e-book reading, & the list just goes on & on, how can just anyone live without the ipod.

I'm not gonna be long on this so here goes:-

Why I choose a Mac?

Because at that moment where this realization hits me, I slapped my forehead in embarrassment for what I had been doing all this while with the "other" operating system. When I could have easily eaten, with fork and knife in my hands(Mac), I have been eating using my feet wrapped around my neck(my previous operating system with a "window" of a view wink.gif) trying to feed my workflow on my day-to-day routine.

Never again, shall I have to do a circus act of trying to make things "work" with "that" other OS. when I could have "it just works", plain on simple, on my Mac. Thanks Apple! icon_rolleyes.gif
