We refer to the article entitled “Top Glove says profit may surge 30%, double earlier estimate” appearing in The Financial Daily under home business on Thursday, 25 June 2009, page 6 and in particular, the following statement in the reported article:

"Top Glove Corp Bhd, the world's largest rubber glove maker, said profit growth this fiscal year may be double the company's earlier estimate after swine flu bolstered demand and the cost of raw material fell.

Net income in the year ending Aug 30 is on course to climb at least 30%, executive director Lim Cheong Guan said in an interview. That will swell earnings to a record RM143 million. Top Glove earlier forecast growth of 15% to 20%."

The Company would like to inform that the internal targeted profit growth for the financial year 2009 ("FY 2009") are based on the Company's historical net profit of the past seven (7) years compounded annual growth rate and also resulting from the higher profit achieved by the Group in the recent Quarter 3 results of FY 2009.

Append hereunder an extract of the Company’s historical group sales and net profit record computed based on the audited accounts from the financial years ended 2001 to 2008.

Based on the table below, the Company’s compounded annual growth rate for sales and net profit was 39.81% and 33.01% respectively.

The Group’s profit after tax for 9 months ended 31 May 2009 was RM113.1 million, an increased of 36% compared to the corresponding quarter in 2008 of RM83.2 million.

Therefore, based on the above-mentioned, the internal targeted profit growth and net income of FY 2009 is expected to be higher than the earlier projected.

The projected figures mentioned in the above paragraph have not been reviewed by any external auditors.
