mine is nearly 1 year and half already....so need to add?
water or battery water?

of course no warranty...it's wear and tear product
if got warranty....we no need abt changing batt already....haha

from what i know, as my saga just came out last week. EON dealer explained to me;
within year of purchase, the battery replacement is not free BUT the delivery of the battery is free.
imagine yourself suddenly have a dead battery far from car workshops, call them up for delivery, pay just for the battery.

If to choose SAGA BLM 1.3 M-Line and SAGA 1.6 Red, Which you will choose and why? hehehe
*
Have you at least first compare the general specs from the proton website to see the main differences?
http://www.proton-edar.com.my/pdf/brochure_newsaga.pdf

1.6(B-line) is not equipped with a few key features as M-Line. If not mistaken, 1.6 was initially targeted for taxi operators, more power to carry passengers/baggage with low cost due to no essential features that makes the affordable SAGA M-line selling like hotcakes. I could be wrong.

*owns saga 1.3 m-line*

no such things, i will left 1 inch gap opened when my car park under hot sun, can lock also...as CyberKewl said, large possibility ur boot culprit..
*
must be a coincidence then, as it was first time trying to leave the car with the window gap.
i was certain all doors and boot is tightly closed. i'll try to close the boot with a little more oomph! next time and see what happens.

off-topic note, congratz to you, CyberKewl. may you forever have prosperous & wealthy(with love) life with your family thumbup.gif

I noticed saga has alot of problems concerning locking doors...

Like my saga right now has problem with the passenger left door. When im driving sometimes the 'didnt close the door properly light' comes on.. on and off.. but i know 100% that the door is closed. The sensor thingy, the contact point btwn ur door and the rubber sensor thingy isn't in close contact. And now even worse, my alarm goes off because of this stupid problem.

I honestly like saga.. but all the minor problems sometimes is a pain.
*
did you try inform proton/EON service technician about the issue before? that is, if u're still going there for the 3 first services(labour is free, so if your alarm just needs tweaking instead of replacement, should be okay, right?). worth a shot.

haha, look at your seatbelt 'switch'(don't know what it call) still covered by plastic bag...not even a piece left within 1 hour after i got my car... laugh.gif  tongue.gif
*
my car is a few weeks old and i still leave the seatbelt 'switch' plastic. i also left the chassis# barcode sticker outside the driver door, whenever friends ask me why i keep it, i just say "easy to touch & go at highway, it scan the barcode, cars got prepaid toll money inside" or "that's how we buy cars these days, cash & carry like shopping at giant" rolleyes.gif

went for 10k service and asked the technician to fix the door "ekk ekk" sound and left dashboard sound...he said the door sound cannot be fix !! wad the fffffff..... cry.gif anyone got the same problem as me and got their problem fixed?
*
just bought mine a month ago, noticed the same sound u mention(front left door and dashboard sound) whenever the road gets a bit bumpy.
however when i remark the matter to technician during 1st service, he couldn't notice the sound because only drive it near the service center(no bumpy road).

from what your experiece, the technician told u that the door sound cannot be fixed, meaning he already had other saga owners complain same thing? please do find out if u can to confirm this 'default abnormality'.

A lot of BLM users encountered that problem as well, include me...for the door, most of them the door lock metal bar is the culprit...for the dashboard, i just insert a sponge and the problem fixed...for the door, i think probably will DIY myself also...because the interior of BLM can be called as 'plastic car', vibration noise is unavoidable, especially if your car often put under hot sun...i give up on those SC adi, they can't help at all..
*
aha! this is good info.. thanks icon_rolleyes.gif
though, could you provide us picture to see where exactly to insert the sponge? can eliminate one vibration sound would be great.

guys..u all using which petrol? I heard esso and bhp nice. But i'm using esso rite now and it kinda suck..
*
Kind of off-topic isn't it? You might have to test full tanks of different petrol brands for yourself as your vehicle might respond differently.

Anyway, some people here say BHP's ron95 with additive gives more satisfaction(to driver), while shell's "fuel saver" petrol is not recommended.
For me, i stick with petronas as that tiny feeling of patriotism runs through me, plus i've been collecting kad mesra points for sometime.
In any case, as a long distance driver(weekly at least a 200km trip), I'm happy enough there's a petrol station when I need it.

*why oh why couldn't the government make the petrol reward points into one single card instead of each petrol brand having its own cards, my wallet is running out of DOTA hero slots here.. sometime ago government already forced digi/maxis/celcom/u-mobile/etc. here to make numbers available freely to other networks for easier switching.. do we need to splash cold water to the so-called managers of the country to ease our burden?*

not really.eventually our car choose the brand of the petrol too.as well as the the engine oil.if i dare u, u try petronas, if ur mileage can go higher than an Esso or BHP or Caltex..
*
well, i did say different cars might respond different petrol brands. sweat.gif
FYI, so far using mostly petronas petrol with petronas synthium engine oil.
i have no complaints, except for the slow but yet reckless drivers here at perak. (lorries are much safer than cars & motorcycles here, i dare say)

from lumut to KL, using sabak bernam/kuala selangor route, avoid highway.
but don't take my word for it, maybe i just can't tolerate improper driving that most people can accept it as norm in our society.. LOL ~_~

For those who want to travel from Ipoh to KL, actually can consider taking old route if u want to save toll fee and not urgent...maybe you can enter highway from Behrang...becos along the old road from Ipoh to Behrang actually adjacent to highway, and from Bidor to Behrang the road is like highway now, 4 lanes and not much car... brows.gif

Added on October 10, 2009, 12:02 pm

The car will automatically lock if no door opened in 30s since u unlock it... nod.gif
*
= thanks, maybe i'll try Behrang exit then. FYI, i travel from lumut, not ipoh.
= its different when i disable the sound notification(door lock) by pressing both buttons on remote key. i'm 80% sure disabling the sound notification also turns off the automatic door lock mode. couldn't find this info in the manual, hope anyone could clarify this for me.

ok, quick question, estimate how much is cost for 2nd service?

scenario is my mileage now is around 5000km, and i'd have to make a to and fro travel total of 800km this weekend. i know the booklet says i should make 2nd service by 5000km, but on the receipt of my 1st service says something like "schedule for next service at 6200km or by 25/12/09, whichever is sooner".. so should i stick with the 5000km guideline or 6200km?

this question is pointed out because i don't have cash at hand to pay for the service, however much that would cost.. haha.. but safety is first! so would like to estimate how much to fork out. i know it depends on the car condition too, but please roughly average it. my 1st service only changed engine oil and oil filter.

Btw what are those FUELLY signature i keep seeing here ah..?

Anyone mind to enlighten this lost lamb?
*
view this site, example of a fuelly from a forumer here => http://www.fuelly.com/driver/mlbl/saga
i'm also new to this thing and haven't start it yet, but interested to do so, from what i can see its basically as a record log to show fuel consumption data inserted by you, whereby the charts and tables would sum up average fuel usage over period of time. this is nice as if someone suddenly posts up a non-backed-up-evidence claims like "saga blm eat so much fuel compare to my fuel saving $$$ car!!", you could ask them back "i show you my proof, you show me yours, please". just my thought.. cheers~ icon_rolleyes.gif

check out this main page of fuelly, the introduction basically sums up what we can expect => http://www.fuelly.com/
Fuelly is a site that lets you track, share, and compare your gas mileage. Simply sign up, add a car or motorcycle, and begin tracking your mileage. To date, 20,563 Fuelly users have tracked 398,848 fuel-ups in 26,602 vehicles over 111,187,501 miles of driving.

the video is informative too => http://www.fuelly.com/about/

hope more forumers(especially saga blm owners like us!) to join up and contribute too~

I took a bit of a view of the fuelly site and seems like the parameters they give are for US, like in gallons, miles instead of in litres and kilometers?

Confused here  icon_question.gif

at the top left of the screen there are option to change format to either US l UK l Metric.
