Do you mean those cheap paint spray? or what other better paints can you recommend to my silver blm please?

aiya, my 'front' also got sound when the saga goes into bumpy or rough roads. it sounds like "zee ... .ziii ..." maybe from the dashboard? hope it is the front moving mechanism or absorber, then can save it, else dunno what todo la..... sigh .... hate that iritating "zzz............zzzzzz"

anyone gotthe same thingy too? lol .... wa ha haaaaa

me too. i will hear soft "zzzzz .... zzzz" sound if i drive on rough roads (not bumpy but rough surface). looks like left dashboard .... sad ya!!!

Added on July 4, 2009, 8:52 pmoh yes. i hv recorded the "zweet zweet" sound whenever i turn the steering. it is quite clear at night. the proton sc foreman told me to drive until THE SOUND GETS LOUDER !!! knn. scarry la when i drive fast, or when iam chasing motorcycles .... !!! dunno safe or not.

i am recording all the sounds from the car, but not sure how to post them here .... i will try 'attachment' and see ..... lets have a proton sounds compilation here ? shd be very interesting.

Added on July 4, 2009, 8:58 pmwell, i have been using the proton official site, the customer contact. i continued to email the company since October 2008, the first month i biught the car. i wrote and asked for explanation for the very very high fc of my auto blm. i am stil trying to email tiull today. ady 6 months and no reply.

my fc is rm50 for 200km exactly.

Added on July 4, 2009, 9:05 pmmy fc seems to be the worst in this thread so far. it is now 6k km. before the 2nd service, it was rm50 for 200km. then one salesman at proton sc told me to ask for computerised tuning for the 2nd service. i did. after the tuning, my fc is rm50 for 180km !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i always feel like die kiaw kiaw !!! i have to pour in my blood to the tanki ............... proton sc !!!

dashboard with sponge ... but i dunno where the sound comes from .... really feel like selling it off in the next 6 months and get a used Optra.

Computerised tuning? What is that? I'm also concerning about my FC. 220KM for RM 50++ pump. I've done my first service. I think I will drive to Proton SC in Mutiara Damansara for a check soon.

LOL.. i think its cuz u stuck in jam everyday ar?? Saga air con makan damn alot... if ure driving in the morning like 8am.. try to conserve on air con, since its cold anyway... that's what i do.. anyways, one week, i din use toll, my fc drop ALOT.. i think RM45@220km only. I pay toll.. go back to normal already... maybe rm0.17/km? (still have to go through little bit of jam) But either way, why i think take toll is better.. is cuz.. 1) save time, 2) save petrol (ofc u pay toll fee la.. so cancel each other out) 3) Your car doesnt depreciate as much since u travel less km's by taking toll. so long run, short run.. win win situation.

yes, i alwas drive in traffic jams, most of the time bumper to bumper for over 20 minutes. at least i see someone like you also kena around 200km. so the proton advertisement of saga being fuel efficient is NOT true, and its not my blm auto problem .... ai ..... dunno wat to say.

yeah, mine also. as i reverse the car out from my house, i hear "zzzttt" or jeet .... jeet sound. looks like the brake pedal. but i hv sent my car for 2 services, the sc foreman said "no more sound la". then again, the sound is till bloody there the next morning !!! i am too tired to bring my car ack there for the sound alone. now, my steering also got "ZWEET ZWEET" sound everytime i turn the steering.

i lost for words la.

OMG mike !!! what car are you driving???? mine blm auto only lasts under 200km per rm50 (almost full tank right?).

can you please please let us know what have you done to your car? i am bleeding for my fc.

DISCOVERY !!!

i hated yhte "ZZzzz" sound from the suspected front of the car. then, i open the board on the left side of the dashboard, fiddle wth the wires etc and added in some sponge, ten the sounds are GONE !!!! please try it, it shd work and reduce your anxiety !!!! hu hu huh !!! next job, is to look for the next causes of unwanted sounds ..... somewhere inside my SAGA BLM ......

not the full dashboard le. you open the front car door. look from outside, and you will see a flap on the vertical side along the dashboard. the vertical part of the dashboard. you can use small sharp screwdriver to clip open it. be careful, it can scratch the flap when you try to open it..... inside alot of wires etc ... play with them and the sound will be gone ... try until nomore sound looo......

i mean there are many "ZZZzz" sounds coming from the wires and loose item inside the dashboard. if you move some wires and place them properly (without the wires touching the sides of the inside dashboard) then the sounds are gone liao ....

here it is: -

one flap on each side of the dashboard.

use a screwdriver to open it, but you sure will scratch the edges of the flap as the quality of it is not good. do not close it back yet until you drive and are happy that there are no sounds. if you keep on opening and closing these 2 flaps, you will scratch the edges.

use screwdriver open the curve side first. there are 3 plastic clips, after clicking the curve side, the vertical side will open like a door ledge.

play with the wires and the metal rod inside, drive around a bumpy road, play with the wires until no more sound.

My sounds came from those 'items' inside the dashboard. i opened the flap and sorted out the wires and the cables inside. now it is very quiet. i mean, some sounds do come from inside the dashboard, and can be reduced using this method.

aiya! dun be so 'yuk shin' la. can put in some sponge ma ... newspapers rot fast and becomes burden too. lol. after doing this trick, there shd be less less noise from the dashboard.

true too. but the bundled wires most likely could 'knock' on the edges of the interior thus causing the noise. btw, the wires inside ady tied up rather well. it took me sometimes to 'peep' inside de. lol.

wats the difference between engine iol spec 10w/40 and 10w/30?

which is better or suits my 6k km blm saga auto? i wish to change the oil so that it is smoother and saves little fule as suggested by pals here.

just changed my BLM auto engine oil, from the sc stock 20w/40 to Shell Helix 10w/40 SM model. without the oil filter, it costs rm83.00.

i can immediately feel: -

1. car is very very much lighter
2. little lesser in acceleration but picks up faster in seconds
3. can hear the smoothness of the engine
4. feels clean too ..... !!!

thanks to all who chip in the opinions.

will try out other means to make my BLM a better cay.
