I also have this problem the first time I get the car. I straight go to the Proton Excelence Center at Shah Alam to get the IAFM Changed. it costs RM1,300 and Proton Change those unit for me F.O.C . no questions ask and they also wash my car. good service but it took one whole day to complete. so I go home to rest first. before I go to PEC, I go to other Proton SC and they dont know or cannot confirm about the problem. I suggest you guys, better go to PEC to check out. but make sure to go there the earliest, or the Q will me very long.

A while after changing the IAFM unit, my engine still make the 'tak..tak..tak" sound. I dont know why...but after I tried the Shell V-Power Racing petrol, the sound disappear, and if I use the Primax3 petrol, the sound comes back... I guess this engine needs higher level of octane for peak performance ?...

I since then, use only V-Power Racing and the engine is more quieter and performs better on acceleration since I use the V-Power regularly... its expensive though...
