Depends whether ur always stuck in a jam or not.. If ur stuck bumper to bumper everyday for 1-2 hours.. i think RM50@230km is acceptable. If not, do what i do.. pay toll to get to your destination. Probably add up to the same anyway.
*
Bingo. Pay toll more worth it for FC but depends on calculation. You have to count distance to toll whether is it further or not + toll price.

Just did SP mat soundproofing @ sunway pyramid just now. The door feels more solid and less sound from outside but engine still quite loud I feel. He said if want to do the bonet there is RM 180..quite expensive i feel but if really can drown the engine noise i think worth it. Anyone insulate the engine bay b4?

good...u got the same feeling too
engine one i buy those that stick at the bonnet there one...forgot the price already
to silence engine is to soundproof the bonnet and the firewall there only
*
I will ask them if 180 is cover what, if cover firewall area then i think is ok for 180, otherwise its expensive liao

i just contacted sean from pitstop, he said the RM 180 doesn't cover the firewall area and if want to do the firewall area it'll void warranty, that's what he said. Can be done but costs more. But he told me it does help insulate the engine sound, he said already 5-6 blm already did and they're satisfied with the work done. Not sure if really worth 180 or not.

u should ask what material they use to insulate it...if good material thn it's worthed
*
I think its the same material as the door panels one, he just told me is a bigger portion and they will cut it to the bonnet shape. Dunno worth or not lik dat.

damn..proton is launching saga SE soon:

Proton launched two new models at the Felda Settlers Day in Johor today - the Proton Saga SE and the Proton Exora 1.6 manual.

From the info I am getting now, the Saga SE uses a 1.3 liter Campro IAFM engine as before (the sole 1.6 liter model continues in taxi spec), but comes with aeshetic and equipment changes, while the Proton Exora 1.6 M/T like its namesake comes with a manual transmission. The Proton team is having trouble sending full specs and press release over because they are in an area without internet access now but at least we have the prices:

Proton Saga SE Manual - RM43,000
Proton Saga SE Auto - RM45,500
Proton Exora M/T Solid - RM64,548.00
Proton Exora M/T Metallic - RM64,998.00

More details and photos of the new car to come later.

Read more: http://paultan.org/#ixzz0KY8GWSN8&C

Why now only launch..aih...if launch earlier then I could have gone for SE liao..

I wonder why people keep on saying things like...
revving, pedal to the metal is bad for a new car...
sigh....
don't they read or google?
Break In!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehehehe....
*
What's the proper procedure then? OK to pedal to the metal but not consistently? Short bursts?

Added on July 9, 2009, 2:19 pmBTW my handbrake got problem, its like a bit loose when i press it down, sometimes it will not disengage (the handbrake light will on in the meter there), until i push it down some more then disengage..feels very flimsy, anyone face this?

we dun mislead ppl with fake info la.because we got members doing that and the end result can be obtained, so we are telling others to perform it.if u feel unsecure, then u can forget about it. it's ur car and ur right anyway.

I just noticed something...why did proton make the door sash (the vertical pillar on the door) black color for M-line while B-Line gets a body colored one? The body colored one looks much better!

Hm..maybe its just me cos my previous car (myvi) is body colored at that area. But its no big deal tho..really love the car, much better than myvi in terms of overall.
