agreed. TS, prolly your friends are a bit shallow in the language sector. Major develop countries like SG and Taiwan are Fukkien based.

Even Penang I would say quite a well established city is Fukkien based.

I don't speak Fukkien, but I rude to reply in another language when your asking something sia.

Aiyo no need to say about our hokkien, our cantonese also so rojak. its the same like hokkien la...All mix mix dy.

Go to HK and speak your cantonese there, people will go WTF? which kampung you come from.

Ya..I know about the pan nai part. If wanna learn the language at least speak it properly la....

don't talk all so noble lah. It's just common sense to use mandarin as a national language in china because its widely used.

Manchurians are not chinese but they have an assimilation into the Hans thus making them a part of chinese history.

Manchurians who know that they are Manchurians, but have virtually completely assimilated into Han culture and don't make an effort practice distinctive cultural practices to make a statement that they are Manchurians.

Mandarin is just a widely used language hence its just common sense to make it into a national language in china.
