cannot compare 8 months old wit 4 months old phone...
my problem is only the back cover color goes off. thats all.  the body no scatch at all.
like a forumer said, new batch back cover smoother, maybe nokia changed the paint.

hey all tubers..congratulation on V16...huhu very fast...mmm anyone facing problem with gps this 2 days?i installed it 3 days ago..first day doing good...but 2nd day till now is not good at all..no coverage from north south hiway..till now at nilai...any solution or it is due to weather condition??     by the way...my name also missing from red team..add mee  

well. i prefer the original looks. imma just buy another casing when i feel like buying. because even if i use protection the protection will worn off too.
plus i dont mind the cost. so its fine with me.

U need to have custom POI installed in order to have such feature.
MFM offer that as well, go google up.

yes, by selecting Assisted GPS you will get very fast lock on to GPS.
thats because it will send small amount of GPRS data to the setellite to conform your position.
and this will cost abit money for maybe 10 ~ 15 cents per lock on.

without selecting the Assisted GPS you will get slower lock on, just because the GPS is waiting for your position conformation. untill few minute (tested at open air), it will lock on for you as well. by this way you way, you save 10~15 cent per lock on.

if youre traveling inside the car and lock on without selecting Assisted GPS. you will need MORE longer time to  conform your position during you are moving around.

Some updates for the 5800 XpressMusic Meet-up with Nokia. Here's the latest:

Date: 18 July 2009, Saturday (Yes! Nokia Malaysia people can make it)
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Venue: Sunway Pyramid (suggested - anymore suggestions?)

Agenda:
- Introductions - get to know all the 5800 XpressMusic users.
- Short presentation by Nokia Product Manager
- Q&A session with Nokia Malaysia
- Games (and Prizes!)
- Lunch

We're thinking of making this a really casual & fun event to encourage people to talk and get to know one another, and also for people to get to know the Nokia folks in Malaysia. There will be a cap of about 30 people because we will book the whole place and need the place to be big enough.

One more thing, the Nokia Product Manager, Glen Cha, might bring along the 5330 XpressMusic (prototype) for you to be among the first to see. No promises though.

What we'd like to do now is start compiling a list of people who want to go. Can you add your name to the list below and also send me a PM?:

hi to all,i installed GarminMobile on my 5800 but everytime i try to on it,a message " do u want to switch on the Bluetooth" keep on appear,any idea where can i disable it?

another Q,may i know what kind of video files u guys used to watch on 5800? MP4 ? Using built in Real Player? Which converter? Currently i'm using IMTOO DVD to MP4 converter,convert DVD video to 640 x 480 and change the aspect ratio in Real Player.The quality is ok but i wonder if i can get better Is CorePlayer available for 5800 oledi?

Emmmm,most probably as it come with the phone when i purchased it. But i usually switch the BT off but it take longer to lock on.Possible to disable it?

i own both..garmin nuvi and 5800. for gps i alway use my 5800, because it can lock very fast..

thanks aspire2oo6,i turn off the BT GPS with the method and it's fine now.( originally all options were turn on including a-gps) 

how much the cost for a-gps???it will kept deduct or stop when locate already
