RM15 for each of them in Tesco Puchong smile.gif
the silicon cover i feel that it is a little bit overpriced as the capdase soft frame is only selling for RM25, but it actually looks quite good on Nokia 5800 smile.gif
just curious here... after putting the capdase/silicon cover...
does it affect the GPS performance since it covering the GPS attenna??

I got my cert and key...does it mean tat if i sign it then problem will be solved?
*
cert is different from unlock code...
signed cert is just a way to verify the apps is malware free/problem and by registered developer and software code is not tempered during delivery process.....

taken from https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/overview/faq
QUOTE
Q. What is application signing?
A. Application signing is a way of adding a tamper-proof "digital signature" to a software application. It is an industry-standard technique and is used in phones containing Symbian OS to ensure that when an application is installed into the phone it is unchanged from when it was signed, proving that it has not been 'hacked' or maliciously altered. For Symbian Signed, a further condition of signing is that the originator's identity has been verified so signed applications can be tracked back to their source.

Q. What is Symbian Signed?
A. Symbian Signed is an industry-backed scheme allowing Symbian OS software developers to obtain a digital signature for their applications. In order to obtain such a signature, the company or individual responsible for the development of the application must be clearly identified and the application must pass certain tests. This allows the originator of the application to be traced should any problems occur in the future and ensures that the signed applications meet certain minimum standards.

the unlock code is like password to open the door for the software...

QUOTE(iamnofreak07 @ Jul 2 2009, 04:36 PM)

In addition, on the home screen can the bottom 2 virtual buttons be added or moddable to the new symbian home screen as in the new 5530.

Sorry if i have posted in the wrong thread as i have just bought the phone, now kinda configuring it.
i think the below two can't be changed... but you can always add another 4 on the top of the screen...
menu - setting - personal - home screen - shortcuts (set upto 4 shortcuts)
menu - setting - personal - home screen theme - activate the shortcut bar

if you wanted to add more shortcuts in the home screen... then you may look for 3rd party apps like handy shell... google around for it....

Guys...

I just gave them a call and actually there are two specification available for NsiX OA Screen Protector:

MATT FINISH (ROUGH SURFACE)
ANTI - FINGER PRINT
ANTI - SCRATCH
ANTI - GLARE
90% VISIBILITY CLARITY (due to rough surface)
SLIGHTLY OIL RESISTANT

CLEAR FINISH
ANTI - OIL
99% VISIBILITY CLARITY
SLIGHTLY FINGER PRINT RESISTANT

He added that impossible to apply both anti - finger print and anti - oil coating on the same layer spec.

Which you guys preferring?

NOTE: I'm expecting the MATT FINISH will be somehow similar with Capdase's

He added that many people preferring MATT FINISH for iPhone 3G but taking CLEAR FINISH for Nokia 5800.
*
can they do the below:-
ANTI - SCRATCH
ANTI - OIL
99% VISIBILITY CLARITY

the finger print can be wiped easily compared to oil... and scratch protection is a must loh...

I have 2 frens who owned dis hp and i received "dangerous" review from them.
They said prolong use of dis phone will cause dizziness. Dey said the culprit may be the radiation of the phone. After hearing dis, im seriously considering over again the intention to purchase dis hp.
Hope to hear some comment from u guys...
*
if they can't use the hp... i guess they can't see TV too or even walk out of the street....
there are radiation everywhere... do they interested to throw their hp away???
i guess their head got problem and blame it on the hp....

My tube is "AP set" bought RM1080. If I want to drop stand and tv cables, I could get another RM50 less.

What wrong with AP? It's still original and paid for tax. AP is different from "underwater"!
*
if i were u.. i get the ori set at RM1150... only 70bucks differents wat...
somemore with ori set, you get all those accesories + warranty from nokia....
with AP, you can't send it to NCC for repair lioa..... if anything wrong u need to find 3rd party repairer and bear the cost on ur own....
hmmmmm... save so little and pay much more later for repair... why leh???

music files sumtimes disappear itself.. duno why too.. but only certain musics.. others remain there n no prob..
*
i notice that some of my mp3 files with the same title(but different physical file name) won't be copied over to the phone...
instead it just copy the first file...

you can add the file to winamp / real player playlist to check on the title ..

if you using winamp - just change the title in ID3v1/v2 tag
if using realplayer - just change the name in Clip info...

this solve my problem but not sure whether it is the culprit or not in your case... maybe u can have a check and try on it...

hmm... ic..
from my experience.. the differences of using aGPs and GPS

AGPS
- faster lock (within 2 mins)
- stronger single strength... 5 bars...

GPS
- slower lock.. (more den 2 mins to 5 mins)
- constant signal loss
- weak signal.. only 1-2 bars...

or mayb the signal loss i am experiencing is the coverage area... hmmm
I'll have to test it out again..
*
AGPS/Assisted GPS
the name already tell us that it uses your telco(digi/maxis/celcom/etc...) line (GPRS) to "ASSIST" you in locking in your position..
that why it much faster... plus your telco is going to charge you on each locking done and/or the amount of data carried to ur hp...

GPS - pure using internal GPS Antenna..
this one of coz is 100% free since it didn't use the telco line...
you can even use GPS if you telco is offline..
the drawback is its slower to get lock and signal varies on weather condition..

i haven't recieve my screen protector..

and got one question. is it safe to terminate all processes? as in the one that has * in front of them like *messaging, *calender. etc etc
*
depends how you terminate it...
if you close those apps normally using options - exit then its fine....
normally the phone will have 2 apps running namely home and menu... the rest are just draining battery if left in the background...

why kacau leh... its just a minor software update wat...
ppl buy hp for the overal feature of phone and not merely based on kinetic scroll software only mah...
further more kenetic scroll only can use at contacts and homescreen only woh....

any1 knows what the selling price of 5530???....
