My tube is currently on V21.0.025 and I'm using Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.40.

I just noticed yesterday while navigating with it, I'm having this weird problem when I tried to input symbols eg. "/" while finding for the street. The moment I press "*' to open the menu for symbols, I could not continue further. as it will be stuck there until I close to application. This only happens in Garmin and does not happen in SMS or any other text input though. Any idea? =/ Corrupted Garmin installation?

Last saturday, i brought this phone for my brother in law at Klang, RM1160.00 ori set silver, comes with full packages and i checked the memory card, it stated Nokia c6 8gb. Yes, i do noticed the camera has green and white lines when put on the table. Well, he quite happy with this phone.

Guys,

I bought my tube last thursday and the 2nd recharge was on Sunday morning, and suddenly this morning my battery flat already. I had some wifi around 10-15mins, my sis played games for awhile(not too long I think around 10 mins) and few smsing yesterday. Is this a problem ? I felt hot on the backside when i'm not using it last night and I'm quite sure I have closed all the applications and connectivity.

the batt life has always been an issue

on a full charge:

1. GPS
2. Wifi
3. 3G
4. Some SCUMMVM
5. Pictar snapping

Everything was used moderately

By later afternoon only 1 bar left.

Make sure you don't leave things running in the background. GPS, 3G and BT switched off until needed.

Lower your screen brightness, decrease or switch off the vibration feedback

Among many other things you can try

Yeap. remove the basemaps and only leave malfreemaps.
After u get a lock it will use the malfreemaps.

ATm basemaps is the base for the map all around the world
*
i thought basemap is necessary in this Garmin XT to work together with MFM...delete the basemap will not affect anythings?

do u guys set the auto backup phone data?

i set it at 5AM every Sunday, very helpful

all your SMS, contacts, call logs, settings saved as a file in the memory card

but if all stolen still suffer, so just keep PC suite backup from time to time too
*
i've try to backup thru phone but cant detect the backup files in memory card nor phone..

and after backup, is it use the same way to restore back to phone via pc suite?

Nope, my basemap is deleted as well. Only the MFM map is there, seems to be working fine.

Hey, peeps!

Hope y'all had a good weekend.

This is where I remind y'all to signup for the Nokia meetup coming this Saturday.

Date: 18 July, Saturday
Venue: Republic, Sunway Pyramid
Time: 10am -1.30pm

Don't worry, you'll be fed and not lectured to. It's really great how you guys are so active here and provided an incredible resource for Nokia 5800 users where they can find answers to almost everything about the phone. rclxms.gif

(Secretly I'm jealous of the black Tube owners, haha)

So come come come this Saturday. biggrin.gif

Free drinks?

Free girls?

Free phones?

I think this was posted a few pages back, but an update would be nice.

Agenda:
- Introductions - get to know all the 5800 XpressMusic users.
- Short presentation by Nokia Product Manager
- Q&A session with Nokia Malaysia
- Games (and Prizes!)
- Lunch

We're thinking of making this a really casual & fun event to encourage people to talk and get to know one another, and also for people to get to know the Nokia folks in Malaysia. There will be a cap of about 30 people because we will book the whole place and need the place to be big enough.

One more thing, the Nokia Product Manager, Glen Cha, might bring along the 5330 XpressMusic (prototype) for you to be among the first to see. No promises though.

What we'd like to do now is start compiling a list of people who want to go. Can you add your name to the list below and also send me a PM?:
