I faced that problem too the other day. Mine was because I don't have the last digit. You too??I called the PTPTN hotline and then they asked me to faks the Borang Semakan Akuan SSPN which you can download by clicking the link there, together with the slip pembukaan akaun SSPN. The next day I called them again, and they gave me the last digit of the akaun number.
Problem solved!!
