If you don't receive the money for that particular semester, you do not need to pay for it.

Example: PTPTN gives you 48k for your 3 year degree with 2 payment each year. Which means 1 payment is 8k so if your payment was hold due to <GPA 2.0, when you graduate you will just need to pay 40k.

Parent's income does play a part in the decision whether you get the funding or not and also full or partial funding.

I think you will only need to pay the amount that you had taken.

For UTAR, they look at GPA and not CGPA. I know that because I'm in UTAR. And your friend does not need to do anything. It will be automatically activate back when his coming semester he scored GPA 2.0>

Try calling them up and ask for your loan status? They have a forum where you can ask when the money will be send to your account.
