For those currently on auto-debit, will it be replaced by the salary deduction repayment or still continue on auto-debit repayment?
Confused.

QUOTE(jishu @ Nov 4 2018, 12:37 PM) By January 2019, there will be no more 10% discount for direct debit/salary deduction and also no more 20% discount for full settlement Why complain when I haven't complain made full payment without discounts? Source Don't expect to get discounts for your loans ... Try ask the banks whether or not they will honour you? |

QUOTE(zZNekoChanZz @ Nov 7 2018, 10:01 AM) I recently graduated with First Class a few weeks ago. Do I still have the chance for apply for exemption or not? you should faster apply now. my sister is having such bad luck, her stupid school only willing to give graduate cert next year. now begging school to give earlier so she can apply for exemption. it's funny how the gov is punishing those top performers because some people dont pay their debt and now we got no money to exempt anymore. How do I check my loan balance online?
I've been trying via the PTPTN portal but it's giving me broken links. I'd rather not have to go to the actual branch to check cause that's the whole point of the portal. Does anyone else have the same problem? |

Anyone here paid lumpsum to get 20%?
How do you guys do it? Going to pay the full sum because we will never know when PTPTN turn ahlong. On a side note, I think best to discourage future gen from taking PTPTN (if they have a choice). Fresh grad will feel the most pressure from mandatory salary deduction. Irony of the issue is, defaulters who are earning more than 8k probably have been defaulting more than or close to 6 years. Limitation would have kicked in after 12 years from breach. PTPTN cannot enforce all old contract. This post has been edited by CuriousDude: Dec 8 2018, 08:54 PM |

I talk with PTPTN last weekend regarding my notice of default termination (since i was unemployed when the payment started)
i thought once I sign up for below Rm4k exempted from mandatory repayment policy it will automatically cancelled my default. in turns out that policy already revoked months ago.. luckily they sent in a letter of reminder to go and check with PTPTN so far no issue arise as i've been repaying regularly... they also can't give explanantion regarding the new mandatory salary deduction issue. They say i can still pay thru JOMPay or FPX. |

Wanna ask. I'm using maybank 2 cards now and I have balance of 79k post rebate , now using potongan gaji.
I do have the money to pay back from years of savings, but I keep it in amanah sejam with 6% interest. Is it worth paying off or allowing potongan gaji to continue. Another thing say I want to pay off, any recommended credit cards in the market to balance transfer for interest free |

What I did - i called PTPTN office to verify the amount owing, and also verify the balance amount payable upon 20% deduction. Walked int o PTPTN office and paid in Bank Draft (if i recall, since it was several years ago). |
