I don’t think there’s “the Best” keyboard, because everyone will be using the same brand and model otherwise. Usually it the Price Performance Preference factor that decides which keyboard is “the Best” for you. Since I only have the X6, I guess I’ll just list my pros and cons on the X6 and then you take it from there. I don’t use macro so can’t tell you how good and/or bad it is ;p Also I never use the macros intensively, so cannot comment much, if at all, on that matter. Also I found this review that may be of interest to you, “http://www.tomsguide.com/us/Microsoft-SideWinder-X4-Keyboard,review-1508.html”, it’s a comparison between X6 and X4.
Pros -
1. Numpad can be detach to create space.
2. Big dial knobs to adjust amber color lighting and volume.
3. 30 macro keys, if you’re into them, numpad double as cluster of macro keys.
4. 3 years warranty.
5. 3 profile shortcut keys.
6. Built-in palm rest.
Cons -
1. Hold the keyboard and numpad seperately to lift-move the keyboard around.
2. No tiltless feature may be awkward to some.
3. Esc key is not directly above the (`) tilde key, may need some adaptation.
thx for the heads up..after reading your review and also the website you gave..i'm starting to consider roccat arvo now
also i found a nice little review on mechanical keyboards at the website you gave me.
