 DIY LAN Status LED?

Some Acer systems has this neat little LED for showing the LAN status.

Anyway we can DIY this ourselves?

yes u can....
but....
unless u have proper equipment....
its quite a big piece of circuit to put it in a laptop...
if a desktop..

normally casing didn't come with LAN LED status , so TS wan to DIY it nod.gif

Which u have to solder the motherboard too, right. warranty would be voided.

Use sticky tape. Sometimes may not work, bang on it may help. No warranty voided tongue.gif

It's not very bright. I see those on Acer and Dell desktops.

It seems there might be 2 solutions ->

1. Open up these kind of systems, see how it is done.

2. Buy the same motherboard, then connect the "HDD" LED to that. Because I think that only selected motherboards have that feature.
