with a bd player, u need a home theater system with hdmi inputs to make use of the dolby true hd, but 1k to 1.2k is impossible to buy a good full set of home theater system (with hdmi inputs) which is including speakers & subwoofer....maybe can buy a standalone AVR only....most HTiB in the market have no hdmi iput except
Sony HT-SF2300 which is selling at RM1,999
The S10+BD player quoted at RM4499 is really an attractive price, it's worth to buy the BD player, after that you can selling to others who want to buy this bd player at >RM1k
Btw, can you plz sharing which HN is offer that price?

I got my Pana S10k+BD60 for RM4,499 over the weekend at HN, Ikano. I also noticed the same price for the package at Best Denki, Tropicana City too.

Hello!
Which home theater system is good? I'm thinking of getting the S10K+BD60 package at RM4,499 from Harvey Norman but I'll need a home theater system to go with it. I'm mostly gonna be using for Astro, WDTV, DVDs, simple music, and laptop too. No gaming.
Which is good for my combination?
Please let me know!
Thanks!

It really depends on your preference and budget. When I decided on the S10K+BD60, I also decided to get rid of my existing AV system (old oredi...no HDMI) and being someone who enjoys simplicity without the intricacies of messy wiring all over the place, I ended up with a Yamaha YSP3000. Would have gotten the YSP4000 instead if not for the fact that I hardly ever blast the volume since I live in an apartment. Money saved for buying Bluray software
