hey guys,

i will b heading to australia to further my studies soon. which telco offers the best rate for an iPhone4? i will b residing around Newcastle, 2hours north from Sydney.

most of my friends recommend 3, but i cudnt find a 3 centre at Newcastle, which will b quite troublesome if i were to encounter any issues, i would den need to head to Sydney. rclxub.gif

If you're looking for the most budget iphone4 plan (can choose black or white) i would suggest Vodafone. I myself is using the cheapest iphone4 plan i found but their 3G line are seriously crappy and in certain suburbs there is very low/no coverage.

on a 24 month contract plan:

Cap plan = 29 AUD, iphone4 = 18 AUD

Total per month: 47.00 AUD

$200 dollar talktime/sms, free calls to any Vodafone in Australia, 200MB data. UNLIMITED usage for Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter, eBay, and Myspace.

Of course Telstra is still the best if u want to compare 3G line, it's like 10x faster than Vodafone 3G but comes with a more expensive price.

Another cheaper plan I found is from Virgin Mobile.

Cap plan = 39 AUD, iphone4 = 10 AUD

Total per month: 49.00 AUD

$300 dollar talktime/sms, unlimited mobile talk&text to other Members (not sure what this mean, probably to Virgin Mobile numbers only) and 300 MB data.

Not sure if unlimited for Facebook etc or not and not sure about their coverage.
