hmMmm.. didn't see the Apple Stickers but will check the box again tomorrow Makes no difference cause muAhahAHha I oredi took out the Apple Sticker from the 3G box

yup.got the sticker inside..only d cloth missing..

and yes they do cut costs! box=smaller, cleaning cloth =gone, sticker =smaller!!

Just to let everyone know that as of this morning, Apple Australia has decided to sell OUTRIGHT & UNLOCKED iPhones via the Apple website.

Yeah..can be purchased online now...NO wonder checking out at the apple store is so slowwwwww...

Hello guys, I just realized when someone said Apple OZ starts selling it online, the Malaysian Apple store also has started advertise it online..but of course it cannot be bought online..for the time being? or it will never be online forever?

i've read through all of ur posts and i would like to ask some questions which i'm confused about.
i'm from Adelaide and i just saw Apple's site that they are selling it online now. i would like to know:

1) is the iphone 3GS which is purchased online outright and is it officially unlocked? so that i can use it at malaysia when i go back. (for example, Maxis)

2) it says that direct debit or credit card payment (eg, NAB) requires australian billing address. i will be going back to malaysia soon in couple more months. am i still be able to purchase it before i go back?

as i am currently in Adelaide and will require Apple to send the iphone 3GS to me if i buy from them online. =)

1) Yes, the outright purchase units from the Apple Retail Stores are unlocked unit; that means Ur able to to use it on ANY foreign sims.

2) You will need an AU based direct debit or CC card to make the purchase.
