Sulaiman Al Fahim's Portsmouth Takeover To Be Complete In A Fortnight – Report
Portsmouth will finally be under new ownership within two weeks, according to reports...

It has been a long and drawn out takeover, with a number of complications and hitches, but there is now light at the end of the tunnel for Portsmouth fans as completion is reportedly two weeks away.

According to The Portsmouth News, the takeover will be completed shortly before the Portsmouth Supporters' Club's AGM on July 11. A source close to the prospective owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim told the paper, "He [Al Fahim] will be in London for the few days before then finalising things, and so it makes sense to go to this event and meet the fans."

At the event in Waterloo, Al-Fahim will outline his short-term and long-term plans for the club to the fans, giving them an insight into the future manager and some of the players he is interested in bringing in.

Vahid Halilhodzic is the latest name to be linked to the club's vacant managerial position. The 56-year-old Bosnian has managed a number of clubs around Europe and Africa, most notably Paris Saint-Germain from 2003-2005. He is currently the manager of the Ivory Coast.

Portsmouth Takeover Nearing Completion - Report
The process should reach its conclusion by mid-July...

Portsmouth's takeover by Abu Dhabi-based billionaire Sulaiman Al Fahim is nearing completion, and the club should be in the tycoon's hands by mid-July, according to a report from Sky Sports.

The businessman will reportedly meet with the Portsmouth Supporters Club on July 11 to outline his plans for the club, making Pompey the second team to be owned by interests from the United Arab Emirates, after Manchester City were bought by the Abu Dhabi Group last year.

Dr. Al Fahim helped broker that deal, and it was reported recently that his bid for Pompey could be jeopardised by his connections with City, though it was later clarified that he held no position on the Eastlands board.

The Fratton Park faithful will be keen to see the takeover completed in order for the club to begin using some of its new owner's vast wealth in the transfer market, and assure established players such as Peter Crouch about the positive future at the club.
