Finally booked my iphone 3gs 32G at maxis centre, the gardens-got that off my chest finally.phew!!
Been thinking hard whether to buy the phone for the past few days but decided to take the leap ..hahaha

Will be collecting my phone on 1st of August, the lady there seemed pretty confident there would be enough iphone supply for those who have booked theirs...i hope she is right..

Booked my phone to collect in machines 1 utama but then regretted later on and paid my deposit in maxis the gardens instead. The lady there said it's okay to pay and collect my phone there instead of 1 utama although my confirmation email states pick up at 1 utama.
I dunno, but she doesnt sound convincing....

Anyone knows if there is going to be surchage on credit card payments for iphone at maxis centres

Ya, dunno if they will charge the 2% on me when i collect the phone..if so i will have to bring a big stack of cash there...

Just checked maxis website. They hve taken down online booking. Guess those who have missed to boat will have to wait for a little longer....

Hmm...it's certainly not encouraging after reading all these news about maxis not having enough stock. If it turns out to be true i wil be really really upset....maxis shouldnt have taken our deposit if they cannot guarantee us the phones...they never realised that they, too have a reposibility in deliveing the phones on time if they wanna take our money, sigh....typical malaysian lackadaisical attitude..

Guys, some forumers who have collected their iphones are saying maxis is giving out 100 free sms and 10 free mms for those subscribing to ivalue plans, can someone verify this?

yeah, does look like ivalue 100 is quite reasonable with the free sms now, can easy payment somemore...

Got my iphone 3gs 32G from maxis centre the gardens...finally!!
Pre-booked to collect the phone only tomorrow but decideed to walk-in to the centre to try my luck and guess what? they brought out the phone for me, no questions ask, how good is that...

Spent about 45 minutes for activation and it was all smoooth sailing.

Went to the adjacent machines to get a casing, power support air jacket selling at discounted price of RM 125 (normally RM 138). GOod luck for those who havent got theirs...

Ya i feel you man johnliew, i totally feel you...to top it off i wasnt even supposed to collect my phone from maxis the gardens cos i chose machines 1 utama as my pick-up point in the pre-booking but decided to pay my RM200 deposit in maxis gardens instead after sensing this chaos could happen and it did happen!! So glad i paid mine in the gardens...

I feel sorry for the staff in the neighbouring machines outlet though, kept getting calls from customers complaining about the non-availability of their phones..those guys look totally dejected!!

Oh ya, once you have collected your phones dont forget to proceed to the concourse area on ground floor where there is a promo for 3gs to collect your free iphone t-shirt!!

Yes and no. They will ask for you but it's not absolutely necessary, i brought mine but didnt produce it cos don't want them to find out tat i was actually scheduled to collect mine tomorrow..just show your receipt and IC...that's all
