Anyone can confirm of the pre-order is still avaliable in any Maxis centre nationwide?

Because they already took down the pre-order in maxis homepage, I'm thinking of getting my pre-order done after I COD my i2g in 3 hours time.

Ive been trying since yesterday to prebook. I'll probably walk in to the maxis centre in taman tun to prebook later.

I have no idea. I'm gonna try later. Hopefully they allow me to.

2 days without my iPhone isnt good. I need to get a replacement ASAP!

This link works. I've already made bookings and I've recieved the SMS from Maxis stating I need to pay a deposit to MACHINES 1Utama.

Gonna get it done after lunch.

Oh damn I didn't really read the whole thread.
I'll be making my collection on the 31st itself. I picked the 2-6pm slot.

Should be safe I guess?

I'm pretty sure Maxis will have the units ready.

My dad has 1 unit of faulty 16gb i3G with Maxis too. Hopefully they will give him a i3Gs in replacement of his old i3G.

Me too! My reciept was printed at 9.30.

They were not really discouraging me to get because the person who served me was my friend. All he said was he's not sure how many units are coming in to Machines 1U and already there are 200+ prebookings made there. Just fingers crossed la that my unit will be there.

Okay here is my situation.

1. I did my prebooking of a 32gb Black i3Gs from Maxis website a few days ago and made my payments in Machine 1U the day itself.
2. Machine 1U said they cant guarentee me a unit on my date of collection which I was suppose to get which is today (31st July 2-6pm)
3. I refer back to Maxis costomer care (Shiang) to double confirm if my set was gonna be delayed till when and he told me if I haven recieve any SMS or Email from Maxis, I can go ahead and collect it on the 31st July from 2-6pm. I even told him I'll be taking half day off to collect my phone and he said stock is limited so go there early to collect.
4. Took half day off and found out at 1pm that stock hasnt arrived in Machines 1U.
5. Called my friend that work with Maxis and he confirmed with me 4 places has sufficent stock for 32gb i3Gs which is Gardens, TTDI, KLCC and Sunway Pyramid.
6. Called Maxis SC and told them about my situation and asked for a chance of location to collect my phone but she said sorry it can't be done.
7. She told me Machines 1U will be delayed till the 5th of August before they recieve their stock.

Sold off my old i2g (using a spare phone with no contacts in it), took half day and now they tell me it will be delayed till 5th.

What am I suppose to do now and whos gonna replace my loses?

Priority is given to these 4 Maxis centres:
-TTDI
-KLCC
-Sunway Pyramid
-Gardens

Which I honestly think its unfair.

Yes its possible to change your booking from 32gb to the 16gb one. I was informed by a friend that works in Maxis.

I'll keep you guys updated on the 32gbs from Machines 1Utama as I've ask a friend of mine who works there to text me once the stocks are there.

Currently only WHITE 16gb i3Gs are avaliable there. Just arrived at their store at 1pm earlier.

Only the first generation iPhone comes with the dock. Unfortunately, even if you have the dock from the first generation iPhones, it wont fit because that dock is made specially for i2G. You'll need to buy a Apple Universal dock that includes different 'adaptors' for various iPods/iPhones which comes with a remote control which cost RM199.00

Infact thats what they told me too. Change the plan myself to avoid waiting time. But I called maxis but they said it can only be done in the Maxis centre.

You do not have to pay for iData. Internet/3G service is included in the plan. 500mb. If doesnt matter if you use it or not, you still will be charged according to your plan.

Lemme make it easier for you to understand.

Maxis centre KLCC, TTDI, Sunway and Gardens DO have stock for the 32gb.

Machines do NOT have any stocks at all for the 32gb.

Read again, he collected from Gardens Maxis Centre thats why theres no problem.

Problem is Machines not getting their 32gbs. Thats the problem.

I think I had enough of Maxis. Called them and insist I wanna speak to their manager incharge but their manager incharge is on the line now. Waiting for him to return my call before I goreng him until he promise me I'll get my phone first thing in the morning tomorrow.

I just finish my phone conversation with their manager incharged Mr. Eikuan and they say they are not the one supplying to Machines infact Apple is the one supplying the phone to Machines.
But what I heard from Machines, its Maxis who supplys the phone to them. Who am I suppose to believe in now?

I told them and they say they will check regarding this issue with Machines 1Utama. He said to me that he will clear up this matter with Machines and will get back to me personally tomorrow morning.

Told him I was told to collect my phone on 31st July 2-6pm from their CS but he said its a misunderstanding and its their fault.

Asked for a transfer for my deposit but he said its not possible because they are taking the units according to the number of deposits made in that particular shop. I insisted to do so and he told me it will only further delay the waiting because they have to put me under 'new orders' which I'll need to wait for the second batch.

He promised me the phone will arrive NOT later than 4th August.

TTDI is also in shortage of i3Gs 32gb as far as I've been told.

32gb i3Gs are in stock in Machines 1Utama.

But they will give us a call once its our turn to collect the phone. They cant give me a time slot and I dont have the whole day to wait because I'll be going off to Melacca with my family till Sunday night so I guess I'm gonna walk in to pick it up.

If we cant blame Maxis, who to blame for the delay?
I believe Maxis already know the problem of lack of stocks around the world but why are they still letting people pre order freely? They should set it to maybe first 3000 prebook units and close prebooking after that. Instead of letting every tom d*** and harry book and in the end tell us they do not have stock even for the early bookers.

I even spoke to the manager incharged on costomer service for the iPhone department and he said he will get back to me on the 1st but till today, I have still not gotten a single call from him. I called costomer service 2 days ago and requested to talk to him. They say he's not on shift and will drop him an email and ask him to return my call. Still nothing. Plus, he said I will be getting my unit before the 4th. I did not get anything. No iPhone, no phonecalls from him.

This is the 2nd time Maxis is promising me a unit. And till today, I've not gotten any phone calls from anybody at all.

Tell me who to blame.
